Product Description

Water Level Switch Specifications

This part is located behind the control panel. It helps determine the level of water in the washer. As the water fills the hose, while tub is filling, it will push the air against a diaphragm inside the switch. More water that enters the tub, more pressure is applied against the switch.

Water level would overflow on any setting.
I had replaced the door switch 3 weeks ago - I followed the tutorial that was provided by this site Removed control panel. Removed cabinet. Removed and replaced water level switch. Attached new hose and clamp. Cycled washer at all water level settings. Replaced cabinet. Replaced control panel. Leveled washer. Works like new and saved over $120 on service call and cost of part.

Tank was overfilling, lots of water on the floor, not good.
Disassembled the control panel and replaced the water level sensor, but not the hose - bad idea. It was probably just the hose. The thing tested fine for 3 fillings. I told my friend to watch it closely for the first couple of loads, because I thought the level was not consistent? - but she didn't. More water on the floor. Replaced the hose and it's working fine. Thank you.

Water level switch was continuously satisfied, washer would not fill, and would go into agitation immediately.
Removed the screws holding the control panel onto the washer. Removed the switch knob and then the switch (required unlocking a tab and then rotating the switch to remove). Unplugged the wiring connector and the water sensing tube. Replaced the switch in the reverse order and remounted the control panel. Test run proved the washer was working again.

Water level was low in the washer
I had read many sites describing the issue of water level being low in the washer. Many people had suggested that changing the water level switch fixes the problem. So I ordered the part from PartSelect.com and it came promptly within a few days.

1. Disconnect the power to the washer.
2. Pull on the knob that controls the water level and remove it.
3. Remove the 2 screws on the bottom of the control panel.
4. Give the front portion of the control panel a small yank and pull it forward, around and upward. (It is hinged on the top, so it swings out)
5. Now you have access to the water level switch.
6. Press the clip and turn the switch a quarter of a turn and it will come off the panel.
7. Pull the wire connected to the switch and remove it.
8. Pull the air tube connected to the switch and remove it.
9. Use the new water level switch and reverse the process.
10. Plug the washer back in an everything works great!

I wash with cold water the majority of the time. Yesterday my water randomly stopped filling the tub. The hot works fine. I do believe its a sensor. I swapped the hoses and can use it. My question is this. I purchased the washer and dryer in december of 2005. Never replaced a part of the wash machine and maybe 2 dryer elements. Is it time for a new set or invest in a sensor for the cold water?
For model number 110.26432502

Hello Tonya, thank you for your question. If the unit works well other than the water temp issue right now, you would probably want to fix the unit. If you were able to switch the hoses and the tub filled with cold water, the issue is the water valve. The part number is PartSelect Number: PS334646. The water inlet valve on your washing machine is used to fill the tub with cold, warm, or hot water for the wash and rinse cycles. This part could have either a blue or green-colored valve body. Please enter the part number into the site for current price and availability. Good luck with your repair!

Will this switch fix my problem? I have changed the water inlet valve also. The washer works perfectly fine on the "small" load setting only. All other load size selections the water continues to run and come our the drain hose without ever beginning to agitate...
For model number LSQ9544KQ0

Hello Larry, Thank you for your question. If the problem is that the washer won't agitate on larger load settings, our sources suggest you would need to replace the lid switch for your model under part PS11722098 to fix the problem. Hope this helps!
