Bake element had failed
Inspect new part; collect tools; TURN OFF BREAKER; remove two screws holding defective element (KEEP!); install new element using saved screws; turn power back on; test; celebrate!

Baking element burned out
Took two screws out of burned out unit. Pulled element forward and pulled off connectors. Replaced new element on connectors and screwed back in. Extremely simple. Less than 10 minutes.

Old Bake element gave little heat
The part came as promised & and it was exactly the right part! I turned off the breaker to the oven (the oven has a clock and timer on it too). Unscrewed the 2 screws with a Phillips screw-driver and carefully removed the old part - being very careful to be safe and not make a big mess. It was easy to disconnect the wires and get the old

Bottom heating element had burned out.
turned off the breaker (240 volts and it was outside, so it took longer than 15 minutes). Removed two screws in the back of the oven, one on each side of the old element, and pulled the old element forward. The wires on the back add some resistance, but they are long enough to pull forward a short distance (3 inches) without damage. Unpl

Inoperative heating element
Opened circuit breaker, unscrewed old element, disconnected old heating element wire, attached new element wire, screwed new element into place, closed circuit breaker. tested element for heat.

Phillips screw driver to remove old element. Unhooked two leads. Reversed procedure to install new one.

Top browns but bottom not done

Hello Jacky, Thank you for the question. If the oven is not heating evenly we suggest testing the Temperature Sensor. Measure the oven temperature sensor resistance using a volt/ohm meter. If the resistance isn’t 1080 ohms at room temperature (70 degrees F), replace the oven temperature sensor. Hope this helps!
Kenmore elite range, the broiler element not turn off, even when the oven reaches required temp.
