Replaced auger dogs when top section no longer turned. I ran into an issue. The top and bottom move in the same direction as if they were locked. What should I do to fix this. Thanks in advance.

Hello Daniel, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the Thrust Spacer, PartSelect Number PS334562. It may have came lose or broke and jammed the top and bottom half of the auger. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

This seems like the correct thought on your part. According to our database, the model number you provided is just a portion of a model number with multiple possible variations. What would cause the top portion agitator to lift slightly causing a popping sound of roper washer . I also can see a dog ear may need replacing.

Agitator wasn't spinning well
First I removed the screw that held it in place with a socket. The agitator became loose and easy to remove at this time so I lifted it from the washing machine. I then just placed the new agitator in place and replaced the screw being careful not to do it too tight. The replacing of this part was an easy job and thanks to Part Select it saves me hundreds of dollars.

Teeth on the cogs and agitator were worn out
Very simple, pop the top open, unscrewed the bolt, and pulled the old agitator out. The new one went in just as easy.
pulled the detergent cup off, pulled the cap out of the upper part of agitator, removed bolt and pulled assembly out. then reversed the process with the new assembly.

Agitator had stopped working
Installation of my new agitator was a cinch. After removing the top softener dispenser and bolt cover, I used a socket wrench and extension where I then removed the 7/16ths bolt that holds the agitator on. After lifting out the old unit out, I simply positioned the new cam with dogs into the new unit...snapped the top part of agitator onto the bottom section...placed the new unit into place inside the drum, re-tightened the 7/16ths bolt, placed the new cover into place, followed by the softener dispenser. The entire process from start to finish took less than 15 minutes thanks to the easy and clear to read set of instructions. I saved a bundle doing it myself thanks to this site

Agitator was broken and would not wash clothes properly
The new agitator came within 5 calendar days of ordering, it was sent from near my house. I looked at the directions sent, and saw that it was very easy. First I took off the fabric softener dispenser. Then I discovered I needed a socket wrench to take off the bolt holding the agitator on to the driveshaft. So I went and bought a wrench, extension, and socket. Then I came back and removed the bolt, installed the new agitator, and washed a load of clothes, within 45 minutes. It worked fine. It was going to cost me over $150 to have Sears fix it and it would not have been until the following Thursday Sears Applicance Repair could come. So I spent about $80 for the new agitator from Parts Select , $30 for the socket wrench, which I can reuse. So I saved $40 and a lot of aggravation. And I got to wash clothes quicker. With 4 school kids we wash a lot of clothes which was what broke the agitator in the first place. I would recommend Parts Select any time.

original agitator seemed to batter items during wash because of "paddle" shaped agitator design
removed nut in center (take top piece off and look down), lifted old agitator assembly off, followed directions to assemble new agitator, replaced with new "swirl" designed agitator assembly, replaced & tightened nut with nut driver, and although my old model washer was not listed as "compatible," everything fit and it seems to be working just fine so far. Be sure to cut power off to appliance before starting - just in case.

Wasn't working properly
It was easy to do. You just need a socket set what's a Long Reach In order to get the nut out of the agitator. Other than that piece of cake.

Agitator was not moving.
I just removed the old agitator and replaced it with the new one. Took less then 10 minutes. Took one bolt out pulled the old agitator out put the new agitator in and replaced the bolt. So easy anyone could do it. Much cheaper then buying a new washer.
