Instructions for microwave under cabinet mounting do not explain the purpose of the rear brackets. Microwave is GE pem31dfbb; and rear bracket reference guide says to use bracket 4b. What do they do?

Where does the electrical receptacle need to go for the under cabinet microwave kit? Does it go behind the microwave or in the cabinet above the microwave?
