Ok so i tested both thermostats and they tested ok. I have changed the timer. Why isn't my fridge cooling? Everything in the upper parts of the freezer was solid ice. It's been unplugged all day and it's all thawed out now.

Hello Shannon, Thank you for contacting us. At this point you do want to move onto checking PS304731 Condenser Fan Motor - 115V, and PS12583205 EVAPORATOR FAN MOTOR KIT with the mutimeter. The fans must be working properly in order to correctly distribute the air within the cabinets. Hope this helps!

Can you please give me a clearer picture or diagram of where exactly this part is on my freezer section. Thank you.
For model number GE monogram ZIS48NYB
Hi Victoria,
Thank you for your question. The best diagram we have for you to view the part is the freezer diagram listed under your model number. The defrost thermostat is attached the end evaporator coils by a metal clip. It is number 12 in the diagram. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hello, me again. Is this part easily assessable, so i can replace?
For model number GE ZIS48NYB
Hello Victoria, Thank you for contacting us. It should not be too difficult to access this piece. You will have to take the cardboard off the back of the appliance and then disconnect the thermostat from the evaporator coils by detaching the metal clip. Have a great day!

Hello, thank you for answering my earlier questions. My frig is a GE monogram, 48inch, built in. So the only way (and easiest) way is to access and replace the defrost thermostat is through the back?
For model number ZIS48NYB
Hello Victoria, Thank you for your follow up. This will be the most common way. You may also be able to take the front kick plate off however I am not 100% sure there would be enough room to work with. You can always experiment and see which method works best for you. We also have a YouTube channel with repair videos to assist you! Hope this helps!
