Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.
during defrost cycle water dripped into freezer and froze all over ice bin
First I removed the ice maker. Second I removed the back panel and overhead panel above ice maker. Third I pulled down the drip trough it had a styrofoam base under it. The trough heater had to be unplugged to remove the trough as well as the drain hose. Forth I seperated the styrofoam from the trough and peeled off the old heater which had burn marks on the foil. Fifth I applied the new heater plugged it in and attached the drain hose to the trough. Last I reassembled the unit. Refridgerator works great now and it only cost $45.00 for the heater. The GE repair service quoted over $950.00 and did not list the trough heater as the problem so I would be spending more and would have required several repair visits.

Refrigerator not defrosting.
After gaining access thto the Evaporator Coil, lots of disassembly, I was able to cut the foam (Heater Trough) and remove it first (in pieces). This allowed room to lower the Condensate pan and slide it out to replace the Heating Coil, which was also purchased from you. Don't forget to disconnect the drain hose. Because of the "V" shape of the pan, the rear portion of the foam trough had to be removed to allow reassembly. I still have to verify whether the Defrost Timer is working properly, but the unit is coolingto proper temperatures (Freezer and Refrigerator).

My freezer is -15f and fresh food frig side is constant 39-41. I have replaced the evaporator fan door seal both top and bottom baffles and all sensors. Someone said the deicer may need to be replaced.

Hello Victor, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom you will want to consider either the Temperature Sensor part PS304103 or the Evaporator Fan Motor part PS1019114. We hope this helps.

Ice build up on freezer side. Flows down freezer wall. Have to manually defrost, then flows fine to compressor side to evaporate. Used to every few months. Now every few weeks. Wr49x10021 sounds right. Can I access and install myself , plug in or require tech wiring etc?

Hello Pat, thank you for the great question. This part should be installed by an appliance repair person as it could be dangerous. As with any repairs, it is always recommended to disconnect from any power sources before beginning. We would also like to suggest checking the Defrost Thermostat and the Defrost Timer to ensure they are still functioning as well. These smaller parts can typically be replaced without a technician, if they do not work. We hope this helps!

Hello Cary, thank you for your inquiry. According to our research, the defrost heater, part number PS303835, does not come with the de-icing kit, part number PS303160. They are both sold individually. We hope this is what you were looking for!
