Refrigerator Door Would Not Close
Kenmore 24 cu.ft. Side by Side Refrigerator. The bottom cam on the fresh food side of our refrigerator broke causing the door to stay open about 4 inches. We had to lift the door up about an inch to close it. We removed the top bracket cover by removing one screw with a screwdriver. We then removed two screws with a ratchet and socket
... Read more, to remove the top bracket, which allowed us to lift the door up and off of the refrigerator. We removed two screws with a socket to remove the Door Cam and Shim. We replace the Shim, and Door Cam with the two screws. Make sure you line the Cam up with the hole it goes over, and tighten it up. Place the door over the bottom bracket, and replace and adjust the top bracket and cover.
Removed the door and loosened the bottom bracket and scraped the old cam off. Mounted new cam and tightned the bracket. Replaced door and it was a total sucess.

shim & closing cam
A pice of cake. No problem. I followed the video and it went just fine.
I followed the directions on the computer and everything went just as the video said it would. This was one of the easiest repairs I have ever done. Usually, it does not go as planned.

The fresh food door on my GE side by side refrigerator opens well, but does not stop. It continues moving and hits into the adjacent cabinets. What part/parts do I need to fix this problem?
For model number TFX22VMB
Hi Ronald,
Thank you for the question, I recommend replacing the Door Stop, PartSelect Number PS298393. This part prevents the door from slamming open or opening to far.
Hope this helps!

We pulled the refrigerator away from the wall and now the left side (refrigerator) door is lower than the freezer side. The door closing cam does need to be replaced on both sides. Will replacing these level the doors out or do i need another part as well?
For model number TFH24PRSAAA
Hello Dawn, Thank you for the question. When the appliance was pulled out the shim cam may have slipped out of place since the cam is wore down and not able to hold it in place. Once the cams are replaced and everything is reinstalled, it should sit level. I also suggest checking the shims and other cams before placing an order just in case any other parts have become wore down. Hope this helps!

I need to replace the riser on my refrigerator. My question is, do i need to replace not only the riser, but the hinges?
For model number CSX24GRSAAD
Hello Darnell, Thank you for your inquiry. If your hinges are not damaged, then you should only need to replace the cam. Hope this helps!
