I have several questions about the installation instructions for part number: Wr17x3670 (water tube and grommet kit): 1. The instructions do not reference disconnecting the water hose connection at the lower hinge of the freezer door. This omission makes me concerned these are not the correct directions for the part. 2. The instructions say "remove the old lining and discard" . Does this mean the the interior freezer door liner cannot be removed without damage and must be replaced with a new part as part of this procedure? Or is "old lining" mean to me "old water line" 3. To get to the screws that retain the inner freezer door liner it looks like i will have to at least partially remove the door gasket. Can this be replace with the existing adhesive strips or should i have new double-sided adhesive on hand when i do this repair. Thanks, jeff

Hi Jeff, Thank you for your inquiry. The directions below were written by a customer that wrote in with how they installed the part. That part may just be something they had not deemed necessary to add to the instructions. No, the lining can be removed without damaging it. There are screws around your lining that you would need to remove. You should not have to remove your door gasket to install this part however if you think that you will need to, you may be able to reuse the adhesive strips. It would never hurt to replace them, if you think that is necessary. I hope that helps! Good luck with your repair.

Water line broke that brings water to the door

First Remove the screw and cover from the left top front of the fridge using a Phillips Screw Driver # 2
Then using a nut driver 1/4 of inch (or Socket set)
remove the two nuts holding the door hinge keeping the door in closed position. Now unplug the electrical connector between the door and the fridge body(Simply pulling it apart) Now hold the door from the middle and raise it up so that it can slide out from the bottom hole, on the main body
Now place the door on a table or a flat surface(Put may be a sheet or some thing to prevent the finish from getting scratched) Now remove the nuts around the inner panel of the door(nut Driver or Socket set) Remove the old lining and discard .Install the new lines and then replace every thing in the reverse order.
Note : Before tighting the top nuts of the door, make sure you keep the door aligened so you would not have to do it after completeing the job.
