Easy repair
Part was exactly like original. Have to get close to control panel the try to see behind old knob. A thin long flat blade screwdriver is best. Turn knob until you see slot in clip. Hold knob from turning, place screwdriver in slot and push end of screwdriver toward closed end of clip. Clip will pop out, remove old knob. Put clip completely on new knob and just push on. It just takes a couple of minutes.

Timer would not turn. The knob was slipping.
I went to your web suite to get part numbers. Found your videos. It told me what my problem was and how to fix it. Pull clip off. install new knob reinstall clip done. Very easy and fast. I couldn't even get a repairman out that fast.

agitator won't work wash cycle Spins okay
Getting the agitator out was the biggest hurdle. It was good to have the info from others that had the same problem. I ended up using a nylon strap with a buckle(used on a suitcase when you travel)and putting it under the bottom of the agitator and using a two by four as a lever. Leaning on it and even putting most of my weight on it

didn't do it. Finally I took a rubber sledge hammer and pounded the end of the board three or four times and it popped off. Replacing the coupling was a piece of cake, as was puttting it back together. Unfortunately when I ran the cycle it still didn't agitate (88% chance coupling was the prob) So next I took the front off and checked the belt ...... it was fine. Probably the clutch or the motor ...... washer is too old to pay to have either of those replace. I replaced the dial (since I had the part anyway) It also was very difficult to pry off and I broke the plastic ring in the process ........

Knob would not advance timer / cycle selector.
After pulling the knob out ( on position) a white retainer clip was visible behind the knob. Using a paper clip bent in to a "J" shape I was able to easily remove the retainer clip and knob . The old knob had several stripped teeth that caused the problem. The new knob came with the retainer clip installed . The knob slipped on and locke

Hi, i have a GE washer and the timer knob is broken. The mod nr of the machine is the one above, the ser nr is lv910378p. Could you please let me which one to buy to replace it. Thanks
For model number GNSR2090TAWW
Hello Magda, thank you for your question. The timer knob parts are as follows Part #: PS271124 timer knob, Part #: PS269445 timer dial, Part #: PS270835 knob clip and spring Part #: PS271609. If the shaft that the timer knob slides onto is broken as well, the timer would have to be replaced as well. That is PartSelect Number: PS269940. I hope this helps!

Trying to remove dial knob to select large or small load. I cannot even pull the knob up. Cannot get between the knob and flat piece to pull clip out to remove it. Please help before i make it worse!
For model number VBXR1070W0WW
Hi Michele, thank you for your question. Unfortunately you would have to look at the parts but usually what causes this issue is your timer knob. You may want to take a look at the stem of your timer as well. This is the part that the knob slips on to. If that is also damaged then you will have to replace your timer as well. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

When i pull the knob out to run a cycle, the knob will not stay pulled out. If "falls" back in and the cycle will stop. I can't tell if i need to replace something in the knob itself or if it is in the timer assembly. Thoughts?
For model number VBSR2080W1WW
Hello Dennis, thank you for your question. This sounds like an issue with the Timer, part PS269878 for your model.
