Sorry i misspoke, the flood hose, not the drain hose, has the steady drip drip. Is this because of this gasket failing?
For model number wjre5500g0ww
Hello Alex, thank you for your question. Yes, that is the most likely issue, a bad flood gasket. We would also recommend checking the flood hose itself for any cracks or breaks. I hope this helps!

My washer has an almost constant drip drip out of the drain hose. Is this gasket supposed to stop that? How can i tell if the current gasket is faulty (or is it obvious that it has failed by virtue of the dripping)?
For model number wjre5500g0ww
Hello Alex, thank you for contacting us. This Flood Gasket for your model attaches to the Recirculation Pump Hose to the top of the Tub, so is not the cause of this issue. You will want to consider either the Drain Hose itself, part number PS890597 or the Drain Hose Clip part number PS270508 for your model to fix this. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!
