This part is the replacement suspension rod and spring assembly for your washer. The rod is approximately 27 inches long and is sold individually. The suspension rod and spring works something like a shock absorber and prevents the washer tub from shaking too much while the washer is operating. If you notice excessive shaking or vibrating, or if you notice a strange sound while the washer is running, you may need to replace the suspension rod and spring assembly. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Washer tub fell sideways
Only took 2 days to ship. Took the screws out of the bottom rear panel to gain access to bottom of tub. Next pushed the two hidden tabs with flat screwdriver in the front to gain access to the top of tub, they are located straight inline with each side of the washer lid in seam between the top panel and the front side panel of washer. I see two suspension & rod assemblies in my washer (wwse5240g1ww) that look identical. They both have Green bottoms. The diagram suggests there is a ps960673 rod & spring assembly Green and a ps270537 suspension rod & spring assembly which seems to have a black piece on the bottom. Are these really two different parts or do some machines have 2 of the ps960673 which is what mine looks like? i also checked the ge parts site and they don't even list the ps270537 (mnf #: wh16x544) when searching via the diagram.

Hi Selim, thank you for your question. You have four rods all together on your appliance. You would have two of each of the rods listed for your appliance. Good luck with your repair.

Does this washer only have 2 suspension rod & springs and do they come with the necessary bushings? Is there a left and a right rod and how do i know the difference.
For model number ghwp1000moww
Hello and thank you for writing.
These four rods all together on your unit. You would have two of each of the rods listed for your appliance. Rod set PS270537 (black) and rod set PS270536 ( yellow ) As they are different colors you replace them with the exact same colors of the old rods.
For your convenience, we have attached the link to our repair video. We hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.

What would cause the tub jump off the suspension rod on a regular basis?
For model number S2100E4WW
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your question. If the tub is always coming off the suspension rods, the load in the washer may be unbalanced and you will need to check it when this happens and make sure the clothes are evenly distributed throughout the tub. If this is not the issue, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the tub dampening strap, the agitator coupling kit, the tub cover, the suspension rods and spring assembly, the inner tub base hub, the socket rod supports, the tub dampening strap retainers and the split ring. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

You said i need 4 rods. I was wondering why the schematic only shows 2 ?
For model number suspensio
Hello and thank you for writing.
There are 2 suspension rods PS270537 and 2 suspension rods PS270536, two on the left and 2 on the right, the diagram only shows the 2 front ones as the other ones would be behind them. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
Where can i purchase the tool/wrench to remove the large nut below the agitator so i can remove the tub?
