The timer was dead
Received the new timer in the late afternoon. Waited until the next morning to work on it. The biggest problem was taking the door apart. the time slid into a bracket and was held on with 2 screws and it's plug. This went like a piece of cake. Water would not drain.
The washer ran through a full cycle, but the water didn't drain out. I pulled out the drain vent and checked for foreign objects. Also checked at the drain hose/disposal joint and there was no blockage. After removing the bottom panels I noticed the solenoid was shot. Cylinder was burnt up and stuck solid in the up position. I went online
... Read more and found that a main cause of this can be from the timer causing the solenoid to over exert and burn out. I decided if I was going to order parts and dig into a repair I should replace both. For the timer it is just a matter of unscrewing the inner door panel and unplugging the old timer. Then inserting new one. Couple of things I ran into were the door is no longer heavy enough to stay down so I grabbed a waffle iron as a weight to hold it down. Also will need to unscrew the set screw on the Door lock latch's bottom side. Pay close attention to how it was together helps. For the solenoid I removed the main screws holding the unit in place as well as the c-clip holding the plastic arm. Undo the spring and plug and the whole unit comes out. Reverse these steps with the new solenoid to install.
Simply remove the kick plate locate the water drain selonoid. Took two screws out and one spring off.
So easy. Glad I did not hire a plumber.

First I turned off the breaker so all the power was off to the dishwasher. Then I removed the door handle, which has one screw on the bottom side. Hi Gustavo, thank you for your question. The first part you may want to check is your interlock switch. You may also want to check your float switch as well. If that part is not working correctly it will automatically start draining your appliance. If those parts are fine you may want to look at your motor and pump or your timer. I hope that helps. As the dishwasher cycles the selector no does not move.

My dishwasher just sets there and the pump runs sounds like with no water
Is there a way to ohm the timer?

Hello David, thank you for your question. Here is some general information on testing a dishwasher timer. Turn off the electricity at the circuit breaker panel or unplug the power cord. In general, the timer assembly is located in the control panel. Remove the control panel. The control panel is normally held by some screws located inside the door. In some models, you may need to remove the door handle or the door panel to remove the control panel. Be careful not to damage any wires. Now, you should be able to reach the timer assembly.You should see two wires connected to the timer motor. Follow the wires until you find the connectors. Label the wires for future reference. Disconnect the wire connectors by using needle nose pliers. Use the user?s manual or the circuit diagram of your dishwasher to find out the resistance across the timer motor. Set your volt-ohm-meter to measure resistance. Touch the motor terminals with the meter probes; you should get a reading in the range of 2000-3500 ohms. Compare the reading with the number that you found from either user manual or the circuit diagram. If the reading is significantly different, the timer motor is bad and you need to replace it. If you find any corrosion in the wire connectors, they need to be replaced or cleaned. We would also recommend checking for water pressure and debris in the overflow float. Test the water valve for continuity across the terminals. If that test fails, please replace the valve. If it checks out the issue would be with the timer.

Problem: Won't fill with water: Has water to the inlet valve (just replaced it thinking that was the problem but it isn't, apparently, still won't fill.). Float and float switch are ok - tested resistance open and closed. The drain solenoid appears to function properly when control knob is rotated. How do i check the control module? To see if it is failing in any one of its functions.

Thank you for your question. There are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the water inlet valve, the drain solenoid, the timer, the motor and pump and the sump housing. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
