This genuine OEM dishwasher door seal gasket prevents water from leaking out of the dishwasher. If your washer is leaking from the door, check for wear on the gasket, and to ensure it is properly fitted. A hardened gasket can also make the door difficult to close. If the gasket is faulty, the part should be replaced right away.

Dishwasher leaking below door.
Ordered door seal and followed directions included with the seal. I did put the seal in the clothes dryer for 5 minutes prior to installation as recommended in the Parts Select video that is posted on You tube.

replaced all gaskets by removing inner door
do not know where to position the detergent door arm when reinstalling the inner door. cannot get the detergent door to function. tried several positions. HELP. I do not have the mechanical timer switch, its electronic finger touch.
damage on the lower part inside the washerbody, where it meets the door-(a black rubber piece
since I could not figure out if th new part was really the right one( the original was replaced with a newer part) I tried to hire a plumber. Nobody would do the work if I bought the parts by myself They insisted they have to provide the parts
stripped old gasket from around the door (easy part)
instructions said to remove two screws from the bottom of the door to allow you to fit the gasket around the bottom
this was not too easy as you cannot get see the inside of bottom end of the door I ended up removing the other door screws and this allowed me to fit the gasket quite easily
one tip tape the door lock immediately after removing screws as the lock assembly is not attached to the door
final step was to make sure the gasket was seated all around as my first wash had a slight lead
by pushing on the door after the door was locked cured the problem

Dishwasher door was leaking and basin not emptying
The check valve in the piston and nut assembly was worn away not stopping the water from reentering the basin area. Replaced it and all was good there. Replaced the door gasket and all was good there now too.
Noticed a small seepage of water at the lower corners of the dishwasher door. Gasket had become hard and unpliable. Bottom part of gasket had come out of channel and would not stay in place.
I had replaced the door gasket a few years earlier and had difficulty fitting the gasket around the bottom corners. This time I removed the plastic inner door panel for complete access to the gasket channel. I opened the new gasket package and let it stand unrolled overnight to remove the kinks. Once the old gasket was removed I took a thin piece of wood wrapped with a cloth to clean out the gasket track. The gasket snaps in easily. Be careful not to over stretch the gasket around the bottom corners. The curve of the gasket will resemble the curve of the door panel when set correctly. This is where I had trouble earlier when I tried to set the gasket in the channel with the door panel still attached. It is much easier to do this with the door panel removed.
Dishwasher was leaking. Leaving puddles on the floor.
Quick and easy!! I am not a good repair person, but this was about as easy as it gets. Take off the old put on the new. Make sure that you have it equal on both side of door before you put your gasket in. Just so you dont have to do it twice.
Disconnected power to dishwasher removed the seven screws that hold inside liner to door, and placed liner to the side. Disconnected power leads to timer then removed the two screws that held the timer in place. Installed new timer in revers order. Also replaced the door gasket, one door liner screw, and the vent pad. The most difficult part was keeping the door latch mechanisim in place when reinstalling the door liner.

Easy repair. Everything worked as advertised.
Part is brand new. Arrived in the time they said it would. Appliance back in working condition.
There was one tough part of the installation that kept me busy a while. After the job was done I read the instructions (of course). If I had just read the instruction carefully BEFORE starting I would have saved myself some heartburn.
