We had the igniter replaced in april 2017 on this model. We had the same igniter replaced this week 6 months later. The replacement part they used previously and this time was wb2x9998 for ge, hotpoint and RCA appliances. This part was $34. The part recommended on your site is $76. Is the part they substituted okay for this model or are the specifications different, (which might explain the early replacement)? Previously we had not replaced the igniter in more than 5 years.

Hello Peter, thank you for contacting us. We only deal with OEM parts. The igniter listed for your model by the manufacturer would be PS11747429. You can always find cheaper versions of the part but the OEM is the proper one from the manufacturer. Hope this helps!
Do you cut off there connectors and substitute wire nuts or do you use the connectors?

How to get old igniter out
For model number Nx58h5600ss/aa
Hello Helen and thanks for writing.
Disconnect the power cord.
Lift the Oven door UP to remove it from the Hinges. Then unscrew the nut/screw and remove the floor of the oven. Remove the broiler drawer. Remove the screws from the cover plate along the back wall of the oven where the wires go. Observe where the old wires go/went.
Cut the wire from the old igniter 3: from the igniter.
Remove the old igniter from the bracket with a screwdriver.
Thread the new wire where the old wire went. Now Mount the new ignitor in the same place.

Oven wouldn't light, burners worked fine (gas oven).
Unplugged the power cord from the oven. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to remove the broiler drawer so I didn't have a lot of room to work. Basically I had to unscrew one Phillips screw to remove the metal housing that shields the wiring and connectors from direct flame of the oven. Once I removed the housing it was a matter of removing 2 wire caps where the wires from the igniter spliced into the power source. Once the wires were disconnected, I unscrewed the 2 Phillips screws that attached the igniter to the mounting bracket and removed the old igniter. I had to cut the wires on the new igniter to the correct length and stripped the insulation so about 1/4" of bare wire was exposed to splice to the wire from the power source. I then attached the igniter to the mounting bracket (2 screws), twisted the wires together to connect to the power and attached the wire connector caps. I reinstalled the protective housing (1 screw) making sure the wires were clear and not being pinched. Plugged the power cord back in, turned the oven on and everything worked fine.

Worn out oven igniter
Disconnect the power cord. Lift the Oven door UP to remove it from the Hinges. Then unscrew the Nut/screw and remove the floor of the oven. Remove the broiler drawer. Remove the screws from the cover plate along the back wall of the oven where the wires go. Observe where the old wires go/went. Cut the wire from the old igniter 3 : from the igniter . Remove the old igniter from bracket with screwdriver.
Thread the new wire where the old wire went. Now Mount the new igniter to the bracket. Strip the old wire about 1" . Use Ceramic 'twist connectors' supplied. Plug in the stove and test the new igniter. When happy with the instillation, unplug the electric and allow the new igniter to cool. Finally, re-attach the cover plate on the back wall of oven, replace the broiler drawer and oven door. Congradulate yourself and have a beer.

oven would not fire up
First checked with my flash light to see what was not happening. Compared the part with your oven parts, figured it out from there! Removed the wire, then the igniter from the bracket and that was it,just replaced the part. The ceramic tips for the wires came in handy.Now I can cook my turkey.Not bad for a girl!

The burner igniter would not light
Removed the door. Then, removed the oven floor panel, removed the 2 screws holding the igniter. Cut the wire leads from the old igniter, stripped and connected the new wire leads to the old using ceramic wire nuts (included with part). Connected igniter to mounting bracket using original screws. Re-plugged in range and checked the new igniter for lighting. OK on first try, so replace oven floor and tighten holding screws. Then replace door. Tried out oven on a Red Baron Pepperoni pizza. Excellente!

The oven wouldn't light. It glowed but wouldn't light. I came on your site to order a different part but after reading posts by others with my same problem figured I would try this first. It worked!!
My husband did the repair so I really don't know, he unscrewed the old one and screwed the new one on. Probably a little more detail but it seemed that quick to me!

Oven won't Light
Replaced igniter in oven, Removed 2 screws in oven floor and removed floor panel. Removed 3 screws to remove the whole flame pipe assy. Disconnected 2 connectors on the ignition assy. Replaced ignition assy. with the cheapest ignition assy. spliced the 2 wires with the connectors of the old assy. using the supplied ceramic wire nuts and re assembled. Part from dealer was $89.00 part from here was $39.00

Igniter would light, but burner wouldn't light.
First I turned the power off going to the oven, safety first. Then I removed the broiler drawer from the oven so I could remove the bottom plate, that gave me easy access to the wires and igniter. I took removed the two screws holding the igniter in place, then removed the wire nuts from the wires. I then reversed the procedure. This took care of my problem, the oven lights easily now.

oven would not light but everything else on stove worked
removed lower cover off of buner area, then removed cover where igniter wires connected to circuite, removed two screws holding igniter in place, cut and spliced new igniter to old push in fasteners of old igniter, reinstalled igniter, and plugged in new igniter, reinstalled covers and panels, turned on unit and bingo back to normal and as good as new
