CERAMIC FUSE BLEW WHILE HEATING VEGETABLES
I found an exploded view diagram of of my microwave model which was very helpful. You need only remove outside metal skin by removing 4 screws on either side and 4 more on the back. P.S. It was the MSP Capaciter and or the interlock switch, snap apart 21A (19) failure that actually caused the ceramic fuse to blow.

Where is the 15 amp ceramic fuse located? I know the microwave is old, but it is on an rv, and it worked fine, doesn't get a lot of use.

Hello Richard, Thank you for the question. The fuse is located inside the cabinet with the magnetron and Capacitor, behind the control panel. Please keep in mind that with this parts I will suggest that you should not attempt to replace them on your own if you are not familiar with Microwave repair, as they can carry a high amount of voltage even after the microwave is unplugged. I had intermittent problems with the secondary for switch then the door got caught on it, would not open until I yanked on it. Now there is zero power to the microwave unit in total..no lights, no fan etc. will this fuse be the fix? I should probably replace the secondary door switch as well but I want to make sure this fuse is what is supplying the power to the unit . thanks.

Thank you for the question. You will need to replace both the fuse and the switch in order to fix the issues you are having. The fuse is located next to the switch and when the door was yanked up it could have damaged the fuse.

How do locate to replace the fuse
For model number JVM1650BH01
Hi Michael, Thank you for the question. Use a Phillips head screw driver to unthread the screws securing the grill. With the screws removed, open the microwave oven door then the slide the grill to the left and lift it up to remove. Next remove the control panel mounting screw then lift the control panel up to detach. Then remove the screw holding the inner access panel and then release the panel from the retaining clips. The fuse will be in behind the panel text to the Capacitor. To avoid injury, you will need to release the potentially dangerous charge from the capacitor by placing a screw driver with an insulated handle across the terminals. Be careful not to touch the metal portion of the tool. Use pliers to detach the old fuse. Install the new fuse by snapping it into the bracket. Hope this helps!

I unplugged my microwave a couple days ago to paint the wall behind it. When i plugged it back in this evening nothing is working. Could the fuse have blown?

This wonderful machine was still working fine up until a few days ago. That's when I heard "snap, crackle, pop" on the right side of the unit. The microwave only heats at 1/2 power now. The oven works fine. Do you think I should try to replace the fuse?

Hello Steven, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the High Voltage Diode, PartSelect Number PS239843, The Fuse PartSelect Number: PS240270. The capacitor (discontinued) and the Magnetron, PartSelect Number PS239875. If you are not familiar with Microwave repair I suggest having a repair man look at the appliance. Microwaves can hold and carry a high voltage even when unplugged. Hope this helps!
My built-in microwave, over the oven, stopped heating but the blower stills comes on when i use the previously selected dialing as before. Is there a solution to this problem or is it just as easy to purchase a new one since this microwave is quite old but the problem would be to find the part needed.

I never had a dedicated 15 amp circuit on my microwave. The unit seemed to be starving for power when in operation. It would scramble the display and eventually trip offline and would require the date and time to be reentered, and then fail conditions would repeat upon additional microwave use. I blamed this condition on bad power. I then had a new dedicated circuit installed. The unit will still not run correctly and original symptoms persist. The unit trips out on what appears to be a starving power condition. I'm beginning to think I originally destroyed the power supply or maybe a board?

Thanks for your question. Please keep in mind that with these parts I will suggest that you should not attempt to replace them on your own, as they can carry a high amount of voltage even after the microwave is unplugged. It is possible that the high voltage transformer may have gone bad, part number PS239251.
It may also be worth testing part number PS239319, the thermal cut-off fuse, for continuity. If it does not have continuity, replace it. Lastly, part number PS239318, the hood thermostat, can be tested and replaced if it is faulty.

No power to the microwave. It appears to have 3 door switches. The middle one (vs upper or lower) conducts electricity with or without the switch button being pressed. I assume that is the switch i need to replace since the other two only conduct electricity when the button is pressed. Is the fuse i need to replace the one marked 1303 ksd-60lc90?

My sensor cooking panel has flashing electronic gibberish when I try to turn the microwave on. The interior light has a flickering and clicking sound. I am thinking that it might be a fuse problem?

Thanks for your question. You will need a licensed technician to test or install these parts, as microwaves can still contain electric charges even when unplugged. Have the diode, door switches, and magnetron tested by the technician along with the fuse. Replace any that are faulty.
