I received my parts and they were identical to the ones that needed to be replaced. It took me 30 minutes to install the new ones.

Can you tell me how to remove the original lock assembly. Do i need to remove inside door panel?
For model number Fkfh21f7hwb
Hi Charles, Thank you for the question. You will need to open the lid and remove four screws from under the gasket. Carefully remove all of the clips holding the gasket, from left and right.Set the gasket and panel aside. Remove the wires from the bulb so they won't be in the way. Remove the large fiberglass rectangle and set it aside. Use a socket wrench to remove the two nuts holding the handle to the lid. Next slide the handle out.Remove the screw and the hook from the end of the old lock assembly. Use a needle-nose pliers to slide off the clip that holds the lock assembly to the lid. The old lock assembly will now slide out from the front. Replace the lock assembly and reverse steps to put the lid back together.Hope this helps!

To install this in my Frigidaire freezer (ffu14f7hwl) do i need to remove the entire interior panel? I can't find lock replacement instructions for this freezer online, and the exploded parts view isn't completely clear. I appreciate any clarity you can lend with regards to the procedure before i decide whether to have a professional do the job, or order the part and do it myself, thanks!

How do you replace the lock on my Frigidaire upright freezer. I purchased the lock but I can't seem to find any instructions on how to change it.
