We have an 18 yr old JennAir DownDraft Side-In Range. The oven functions (Bake, Broil, Temperature,etc) stopped working. Pushing buttons without any response. (The burners were all functioning) Being a stainless steel model, the matching Touch Control panel was not available for shipment so we decided to purchase the Black Touch Control Panel in its place. Our salesperson, Louise was very helpful and provided some suggestions to better isolate the part(s) needed. Arrival was timely and (after disconnecting power at the fuse panel and using a tester to confirm no power) the removal and install was just a matter of disconnecting and reconnecting the various terminals, PC board and controllers to the new part. About 30-35 minutes in total. All functions worked as designed and the bonus was a newer look to our 18 year old unit. Thanksgiving was saved !

The part came promptly- and was advised of the timeline. I was able to swap out the part on my own .... after of course - cutting the electricity at the breaker panel. Basically, it was a plug and play operation. The “Bake” touch screen control now works. Was able to test it before reassembling everything. One environmental comment: the part which primarily contains steel -although it was the small ribbon that went bad- was recycled as scrap metal instead of just being able to ship back and refurbish the bad ribbon with a new one. Disposing of the entire part seemed very wasteful to me! ( I called the Sales department to see if they could reuse but they said “we only sell new parts”!
