My Maytag cooktop burner (Right side - lower front) is ticking when the cooktop is turn on. How do I remove or to silence this ticking?

Hello Rese, thank you for reaching out. If your gas stove keeps ticking even after the burner is lit, there’s likely a problem with the burner cap or spark mechanisms. First, check the burner head and burner caps are positioned properly, and remove food debris from the burner if there is any.
