Replace temp sensor in gas range
Part came as ordered. Hardest part was fitting plastic wiring harness through the hole with 2 layers of steel with insulation in between. Used electrical tape to stiffen the end about an inch or 2 back from harness. Job done, problem solved

Gas Oven will not light
I was disappointed with this parts recommendation..neither part solved the problem, a first with partselect. The Range Oven sensor change out was easy and straight forward once the back lower panel was removed. The SPARK MODULE was time consuming..the module is located and accessible only by removing the range top. Having gas burners requires unscrewing all the burners before tipping up the top and removing it, then removing the guard over the Module is next..it's a project, sure wish it worked when I was done!..turned out to be the oven glow bar....

Oven temp seemed low (was set at425 and display read likewise). Oven thermometer confirmed was only at about 250. Increased temp to see if it would go up. Overshot to 450 but display then said temp at only 380. Already know the igniter is going and already have that to replace, but wondered if this part may also be faulty since the display was not matching the actual temps in oven?

Hello Lynn, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Temperature Sensor. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1000 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

I have GE gas range, it shuts off while baking, all the electric lights are off for about 40 min, then i have to restart again. I input the cooking time, it runs for about 15 min, then it shuts off. Please advice what can be the problem. By the way, it is a new range but i did not pay for a warranty when i bought it.

I have trouble with the upper oven door lock, is it the temperature sensor or the door sensor? Light would not turn off after closing door and door lock light is on all the time.

Hi Victor, Thank you for your question. If the light is on all the time, I would check the light assembly to verify if it is working correctly and then I would check the door latch. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Then oven on the range turn on but it keeps igniting every like 2 minutes i can see when it keeps turning on and off and does not reach correct temperature. Is that the sensor?
For model number JGB660SEJ4SS
PartSelect logo
Hello Jim, thank you for your question. The sensor would be the first part we would recommend testing. The temperature sensor WB20K10027 should read about 1100 ohms at about 70°F. You should thump it while testing to ensure no intermittent connection is present. If the sensor is not the issue, you may want to test the igniter next. I hope this helps!

Top oven ( not the bottom larger one) will be set at 400, and read 400( thought last 50 degrees a looooong time) but thermostat on rack reads 350. I set oven to 450(w/o turning off the current oven cycle) but thermostat still reads 350 even though oven will eventually read 450. Ohm reading between probes for top oven temp sensor reads 1090, What should I check?

Top oven does not light. The igniter is not broken or burned. Appears it is not getting gas. I tried to light manually and nothing. The broiler does light on it's own and works properly. I am thinking oven sensor? Or any other ideas? Thanks.
