Hi Robert,
Thank you for your question. If both the refrigerator and freezer sections are too warm, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the run capacitor, the evaporator fan motor, the defrost thermostat, the start device, the condenser fan motor and the temperature control thermostat. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My freezer will not go below 40 degrees. Checking the evaporator coil inside the freezer I find only the first 6 inches get frost on them and the rest of the coils are only cool. The condenser coils on the bottom of the unit do not get warm. Any ideas?
For model number frs6r5esb6
Hello Peter,
Thanks for your question. We would recommend testing the defrost thermostat with a multi-meter for continuity, along with the run capacitor and the evaporator fan motor. Replace any that are showing no continuity. If they all test fine, consider replacing the defrost control board.
I hope this helps.
