Microwave will work sometimes than other times it will run for a few seconds and stop display will read excessive steam , then another time the display will read door not closed . Another time it will say reset clock. If unplugged for a little while then plugged back in it will work normal for awhile until the next error display. Was wondering if it would be the smart board
For model number JVM1740DP2BB

Hi Darrett,
Thank you for your question. It does sound like it could be your smart board. I would also suggest maybe testing the micro switches at your door just to check that they are working correctly. They should both be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Part number ps2370171. I can't get the ribbon cable to stay put in the clip. I put it in, but it doesn't seem to go in far enough and then when i lower the clip, it slips out easily.
For model number HVM1540LP1CS

Hi Tanya,
Thank you for your inquiry. When you install the ribbon, you should also push down the little locking tab that is on the board. That should secure the ribbon in place.
I hope that helps!

All functions work, the vent will not turn on. Had to unplug to turn vent off
For model number Jvm1740dp1bb

Hi Doug,
Thank you for your question. If the vent will not turn on, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the door switches, the light socket and the thermal fuse. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Who do i replace smart board to my microware it only work one side and aslo my refrigerator temperature is 25 to 30 and al my food refreezes the model no dfe29jsdass please let me know how i can bring the temperature to 37 degree i have already had some one come to fix it but it still does not work i have bought that only les than 6 years ago
For model number jvm1740sp2ss

Hello Kamlesh, thank you for your question. To replace the board, the top air grille would have to be removed, then the control panel would have to come off. There is a screw that holds the control panel to the unit that can be accessed from above. Once the control panel is removed, the board can be unplugged and the new one installed and the appliance reassembled. For the fridge, there could be a few issues. We would recommend replacing the Temperature sensor in the fridge, which is PartSelect Number PS304103. If the sensor has already been replaced, or is replaced and doesn't fix the issue you could have an issue with the control board or the compressor might be running too long. I hope this helps.

The exact part that I needed!
Easy install, microwave back up and running in no time!

Smart Board
Do not need the board, I need the key pad. Found this out right before I received the board. The board was $100.00 and the key pad is $150.00. Do you have a deal to send back board in exchange for the key pad. Board has not been installed. I guess it's called a key pad, the numbers you push and the housing it's in. Thank you, Joey Bird
