How do I replace the turntable motor in the microwave?
For model number PVM9195SF1SS
Hi Howard, Thank you for the question. When working with microwaves you much be careful as they can hold a charge when they are not plugged in. You will need to remove the glass tray and the plastic coupling from the inside of the microwave. Next you will need to remove the screws from the under side of the unit. The panel will swing downward to expose the turn table motor. Disconnect the wire from the motor by pulling them off. The motor will be held in place by a screw and tabs, remove the screw and turn the motor until it releases from the tabs holding it in place. Reverse the steps to reinstall the new motor. Hope this helps!

How do you check a turn table motor WB26X10233. Does it have A/C or DC voltage from control board, part says 21 VAC. What should it read in ohms if good. Thank you Don
For model number JVM1750DP1BB
Hello Donald, Thank you for your inquiry. We have included a link to our article on how to test a turntable drive motor with a multimeter. You should actually receive a reading of zero if it is functioning properly. For safety reasons, since the microwave capacitor can still store electricity even when the microwave is unplugged, it is usually advised that you discharge the capacitor before any attempt at repair. We have included a link on how to do so. Good luck with your repair.
won't run, no heat, oven light on, turn table will not turn. Found lower switch was bad. replaced switch, now runs, light lights, timer works, heats, but turn table does not turn. confused on what to look for with table motor. How do you check motor with meter, what settings do I set the meter to. Motor voltage says 21 VAC, what voltage am I looking for from the control board, is it 21VAC or is it supposed to be 120 volts. Should I be able to turn the motor by hand because it will not turn. Can you give me some advise, thanks Don Coleman Sr
For model number JVM1750DP1BB
Hi Donald,
Thank you for your question. If your turntable does not turn, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the drive motor, the coupler and the roller guide. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please call customer service. We look forward to hearing from you!

Turn table on microwave would not turn.
Removed 6 screws from the front and back of the bottom of the unit. 3 screws each side. The panel will swing down. Remove the wires from the motor. Remove the one screw from the old motor. Insert the new motor and reverse the procedure. DIY will save you a $ 95.00 GE repairman labor bill, plus the cost of the motor. I repaired the problem for less than $25.00!

Microwave turntable motor works great
I received the part in good condition when I expected to receive it. Installation was easy. There is a good video online that you can find by googling for it. I believe that the video was produced by GE. Search for "replace ge microwave turntable motor" or use the link below.

Easy Repair
The part arrived safely and was easy to install. The difficult part was getting all the screws out of the bottom of the microwave and getting them back in. There were seven screws.
