TURNTABLE MOTOR

Hi Howard, Thank you for the question. When working with microwaves you much be careful as they can hold a charge when they are not plugged in. You will need to remove the glass tray and the plastic coupling from the inside of the microwave. Next you will need to remove the screws from the under side of the unit. The panel will swing downward to expose the turn table motor. Disconnect the wire from the motor by pulling them off. The motor will be held in place by a screw and tabs, remove the screw and turn the motor until it releases from the tabs holding it in place. Reverse the steps to reinstall the new motor. You should actually receive a reading of zero if it is functioning properly. For safety reasons, since the microwave capacitor can still store electricity even when the microwave is unplugged, it is usually advised that you discharge the capacitor before any attempt at repair.
