Charcoal filters are used within range hood assemblies to reduce or eliminate unpleasant odors by capturing any contaminants from cooking fumes, to improve air quality, and reduce smoke when cooking. This charcoal filter set includes 2 charcoal filters that are installed within the range hood assembly, near the fan. It is recommended that you change these filters every few months, so consider that when ordering your filters. These filters are approximately 8 inches in diameter and feature 2 notches on each side to easily remove and install. To replace these filters, gain access within your range hood and twist the existing filters and pull them off to remove them. Install the new filters and twist them onto their respective notches and reassemble the range hood assembly.

Are the charcoal filters screwed in place? I tried to remove them by turning them but doesn't work. In the mean time I see two screws on the side of each. The replacement filters doesn't seem to have any screws. Thank you, Roxanne
