The front door glass shattered when tap by a body part does this happen all the time.

I set up the clean cycle yesterday on my oven. This is the second time I have done this. All went well. Today, I was going to use the oven. When I was pre-heating the oven, the glass on the outside of the door shattered. Can you tell me why this happened?

Hi Debbie, thank you for asking. Based on our research, the oven should be used at least one hour after the self clean cycle. If the pre-heat is used after the self clean cycle, the temperature of the oven will rise, causing the glass to shatter. You may need to install a new oven outer door glass, part number PS12175974, to fix the issue. We hope this information helps!
