This suspension rod kit, also known as a suspension damper kit, is designed to fit with various models of washing machines. Each kit includes four suspension damper rods with springs and suspension ball cups which are made to secure the suspension rods in place. The kit allows the inner tub to move smoothly while minimizing excessive vibration and noise created when the washer is running. If the suspension rods become damaged, worn out, or loose, the washer will likely become unusually noisy and unstable as the tub bangs around inside the washer cabinet. Therefore, it is important to replace these components promptly to prevent damaging the washing machine.

Suspension rod snapped, tub tilted severely and resting against metal cabinet, load unbalanced error
My problem stemmed from a previous leaky bleach dispenser hose (repaired over a year ago). It had leaked just above suspension rod assembly (only 1 of 4 was effected).Rod had rusted to point where it snapped just below the top mount. This actually made the replacement very easy as the rod simply slid out of the bottom tub channel and onto
... Read more floor when washer tilted 45 degrees. Before tilting washer, unplug washer and disconnect supply lines and drain hos Use pry bar to separate cabinet top from cabinet lower section. Tilt top section to grant accesses to top suspension rod retainer mounts. Remove black rubber retainer washer from new suspension rod. As assistant holds tilted washer, a new suspension rod can be pushed thru bottom tub channel. Place black rubber washer back onto suspension rod. This will prevent the new rod from sliding full back out tub channel when released. The purchased suspension item has four rods and four top retainers. I could have reused the old retainer, but would have been more difficult to release the remaining rusted rod bit. So pulling up on rod and twisting suspension rod such that rod hook end pass thru top cabinet retainer cup and slides into position on new rod hook end retainer. Release retainer and rod, and move tub side to side allowing retain to assume natural position. (reference the other 3 retainers). Realign mating surfaces of cabinet top and cabinet lower if needed. Close cabinet top onto cabinet lower. Connect supply lines and drain hose, Plug unit in. Repair complete.

Hi there, so judging by the sounds I hear, my washer tub spins out of balance whenever its time to rinse and spin in the cycle. You can see it hit the side wall of the washer when it starts to spin. It stops and then gives me the ul signal. I can also hear the tub rubbing against something when it comes around. So yea, I've researched the parts and it sounds like I need to replace the suspension springs?
For model number WTW7320YW0
Hi Steven, Thank you for the question. Yes, if the drum is banging and moving around to much I would suggest replacing the suspension springs.Good luck with the repair!

I keep getting UL code at 11 minutes. What part do I need?
For model number WTW8000BW0
Hi Kris,
Thank you for your question. The UL error code means Unbalanced Load. You may just need to balance your load but if that does not help you might need to check your suspension. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The error is a F51 not a F521 and it spin go until the last 12 minutes than goes off balance sometimes you can restart and will finish. Sometimes you have to rest several times and they my spin out or not need to know what is need to fix it
For model number WTW7990XG0
Hi Nancy,
Thank you for your question. That error code means that you have a motor rotor position sensor failure or a lower harness problem. Check to see if there is anything impeding your washer tub from spinning. If there is nothing, you will have to replace your rotor. Good luck with your repair.

The washer goes off balance in the last 12 minutes. I have to reset, it gives me an err of f51 when I reset it. Sometime spins out and sometimes goes off balance again help please
For model number WTW7990XG0
Hi Nancy, Thank you for the question. Here is what the manual states for the F521 Error code."The motor RPS (Rotor Position Sensor) detects the speed of the drive motor. Check to see if the basket spins freely. If not, then examine the drive system and eliminate the cause of friction. If the basket spins freely, unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the RPS and the main electronic control board. If the wire harness connections are okay, then the RPS will usually need to be replaced." Hope this helps!

April 29, 2024
Hi,
We've had quite a few issues with our Maytag Bravo's XL washer. The bearing has been replaced twice in the last 8 years. We've also replaced the agitator/spinner. The new issue is the washer will not complete the spin cycle without throwing the UL (uneven load) code around the last 9 minutes. Even if there's only one small bed sheet in it. We're thinking it's probably the suspension rods, but just want to double check before purchasing them.. It will be very frustrating if that doesn't fix the issue, as we've already spent roughly $400 on other parts in the last few months.. Please help!! Lol...
Also where are you located? You're in Canada, correct?
Thank you soo soo much for you're time!
For model number MVWB700BW0
Hello Krystal, thank you for reaching out. Yes, we are located in Canada. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the rotor bolt is tight. If it is not, tightening it mostly solves this issue. If that does not help, then the next part to check is the flywheel. Remove the flywheel, clean it and install it back. If that also does not help, then the issue can be with the suspension rods and you may need to replace them, the part number is PS2355518. We hope this information is useful!

is there a set of heavy duty rods for this washer this is the second one changing in 3 years
For model number mvwb750wq2
Hi Wilfred, thank you for getting in touch. The only suspension spring kit that is listed as compatible with your model is part number PS2355518. We cannot recommend a part that is not listed under your model number. This is an OEM part. Every part found on our site is authentic and made to the same standards as the original part. The most likely cause for this would be an unbalanced load or overloading of the unit. Make sure you are not overloading the washer. We hope this helps.
