First thank you for your reply to my previous question - much appreciated. Can you tell me the name and number of the part which supports the lower 'light lens shield' (ps2354534) on the above model refrigerator?
For model number GSH25JSXNSS
Hi William, Thank you for the question. The Light Lens is not held by a support. There are tabs on the lens its self that holds it in place. Hope this helps!

I just asked a question about how to install the lower light shield in the GE refrigerator. They responded indicated that this was a different part. The part number is wr17x12486. This part is a shield that covers the lower light bulb. I'm not understanding what the shield hooks on to. Please help.
For model number GSH25JSBBSS
Hi Pamela,
Thank you for contacting us back. Before beginning any repair, please unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. First, open the refrigerator door. The lower light shield is located at the rear of the refrigerator compartment. To remove it simply lift up on the shield and remove it. The light shield mounts on 2 pins located at the rear of the refrigerator. Press it down onto the 2 mounting tabs. Once installed close the refrigerator door and plug the refrigerator back in. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The light cover in the lower rear part of the refrigerator, model gse25thbcc has melted and needs replacement. However.. while looking at this i do not understand how a new cover would be held properly in place (the old one apparently did not have anything to hold it in place...)there is nothing to fasten any replacement cover to and it seems that the cover would therefore touch the light bulb one again and subsequently melt.
For model number GSE25ETHBCC
Hi Brigitte, Thank you for the question. It looks like the cover is held in place just by pressure. The old cover may have been bumped out of place. Hope this helps!

I have the same question as everybody else concerning the lower light cover mount. When i noticed ours melted, i also noticed it was held on by tape. Is this the way it is supposed to mounted, or does it tie in with the drawer somehow?
For model number GSH25JGDDWW
Hello Jeff, thank you for your question. There are no clips it stays in place by pressure. You have to almost squeeze the lens and place into the grooves around your light. There may have been tape originally from the factory but the lens is not held into place with tape. I hope this helps.

The lower light shield in my refrigerator melted in the spot that covers the light bulb. It was attached by a piece of tape to the back of the fridge. There is nothing to hold it up. I read the Q and A entries about this problem, and one said there should be 2 pins on the back of the fridge to attach the light shield to, which I don't have. Another said that it stays up by pressure or something which makes no sense. Does anyone have a workable solution for this?
For model number GSH25JGDCBB
Hi Lynda,
Thank you for your question. The shield is inserted into grooves on the refrigerator wall. You have to bend the light shield slightly to insert it into the channels, so it is securely fastened. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

The traveling lens sheild
While tracking the part that was shipped out of southern Illinois I noticed that it went on to visit Iowa, Wyoming, and California. I live in Chicago roughly 150 miles from the shipping source and to this day I have NOT received the part. Customer service stated that it was because I chose the cheapest shipping option....Hello, its only a $12 part and the repair is not critical where I need next day shipping, two weeks later I can honestly say the repair is NOT going well!
