Control module went out - causing the heating element to super heat, melting several of the plastic interior parts
I replaced the control module, and effected plastic interior parts - tested wihout heat, then re-tested with heat dry - performed beautifully. This is a pretty expensive unit that would cost around $1500 to replace new. And, Sears wanted $1500 to repair, so I saved a bunch doing it myself for about $350.

Dishwasher will not start - no indication that it is getting power, yet the breaker is engaged and turned on at the breaker box. Is it possible that the control module is burned out/not working? If yes, is it worth replacing it?

Start dishwasher and time shows on panel 90minutes, then within the fill cycle it goes to 40 minutes then it will drop again to a different time. Overall a cycle that once took 90 or 117 minutes now takes about 30 to 40 minutes. I do not know if the dishes are actually getting clean or not? Please advise how to repair unit. I have already changed the pump and digital display on unit within the last 6 months.

Hi George, Thank you for your question. Based on what you described, I would check the touchpad and the electronic control board to make certain they are working correctly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The pad lights up, select normal wash. You hear it running then just shuts off. Then it will show 125 minutes and run for 4 to 5 minutes and shut off and go back to 125. Have to do this sometimes 10-15 times to get it to run the full cycle. What could be the problem

Hello Chuck, thank you for inquiring. You will want to consider either the Interlock Switch Assembly part PS783632, the Door Handle Actuator part PS2337860, or the Control Module Assembly part PS2350039. We hope this helps.

After the selecting the wash mode and hitting start, the dishwasher will not make it through the wash cycle to the end, often not even reaching the point where it will start filling with water. It resets itself to the default (normal wash with heated dry shown and 115 minutes on timer). Does this point to the control module or could this be some sensor downstream that is causing the reset? The keypad appears to be functioning as normal.

Hi Christian, Thank you for your question. It does sound like it may be your board that is the issue. You could also check your door switch just to double check it is working correctly and not intermittently going in and out and stopping your cycle from continuing. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The touch pad does not work. The digital display works and the washer runs in normal wash and heated dry. No other functions can be accessed with the touch pad. Do i need to replace touchpad and control board or just the touch pad?

Hi Steve, Thank you for the question. If some buttons and functions work and others do not, I recommend replacing the touch pad. Hope this helps!

Seeing very odd behavior with controls all of the sudden. Touch buttons are unresponsive. All of the control panel lights come on during the cycle then the washer shuts down. Odd lights (ones we don't use) flash on and off. Guessing i need to replace the control panel? Only way to get back to normal for a bit is to cycle power on the unit via circuit breaker.

Hi Chris, Thank you for your question. The issue may be with the touchpad or the electronic control board. You will need to check the connection between the parts to see which one is causing the issue. You can also try cutting the power to the dishwasher to see if this will help, if not, you have to check the board and the touchpad. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

When start to fill fill ok,after start to wash, when pass next cycle for drain stop for couple minute and start again to wash, and no drain the first cycle to drain
For model number GSD3361J50SS

Hi Jose, thank you for your question. Looking at your model information it looks like the part to check would be your drain solenoid. I would suggest testing that part with a multi meter to see if that part is working alright. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Hi Jose, Thank you for your question. If the washer is skipping a cycle and it is starting all over again, the issue may be either the interlock switch or the door latch. You will need to inspect the parts and test them with a multimeter to see which one is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
