This is a surface burner infinite switch kit for your range or oven. This replacement part activates and deactivates your burner, and controls the burner heat. If you are not getting any heat to your burner or it is not the right temperature, you may need to replace this part. It is about 2.75 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall.

switch works fine
Although it's a genuine replacement part, it is not the same as what was installed at the factory. Determining the proper terminals for all five wires must be done very carefully, since it is not an exact replacement. As others have noted, the terminal markings can be difficult to see. You will probably need to use the threaded adapter and screws for the shaft to extend the proper distance through the control panel.

Surface Burner switch Replacement
The received part was represented as a replacement for the original part. And while I have not attempted the repair, it does not appear that installation of the shipped part will be sucessful.

Customer service lacking
I purchased this part for my repair which was delivered without issue. However, when I contacted customer service to ask about returning the item I received zero response. We determined this part alone would not repair the unit after placing the order so I asked to return it. It’s been 5 days with no response and then I got this request for the survey on my purchase.

Burner control failed, needed replacement
Drawings on web site somewhat hard to read, resulting in more disassembly than actually necessary. Turns out, simply removing the threaded plastic securing rings around the bases of the controls frees up the faceplate, and allows access to the phillips screws that hold down the bracket. Then it's a simple matter to rep

Broken burner switch. Would not shut off.
Turn off breaker to the oven. Removed four knows by pulling them up and out. Using either a large flat blade screwdriver or adjustable wrench (depending upon stove top model) remove threaded style holders at each burner switch control to remove the glass clock control top panel. Remove glass panel and note ldgasket position. Place glass p

Invert and place on its side to gain access to broken contol switch. Took a picture of wiring and close up off switch to help remember where each wire plugs into switch. Remove 2 Phillips screws from the old switch and remove from panel. Using a flat blade screwdriver gently remove one wire at a time and using knob to orientate the off position of the new switch. Remove each wire one at a time and install on the new switch. Compare numbers on both the old and new switch to assist where each wire goes. The numbers are beside each terminal and using a flashlight and magnifying glass will help making the job easier. DO NOT mix the wires up. Use the 2 longer screws and threaded bracket supplied fasten the new switch to the glass panel. Reinstall the glass panel using the screws removed and thread on clips at each switch and tighten using a large flat blade screwdriver. Be sure to route the wiring to not pinch the wires and install the gasket along the front edge which fills the gap along the burner top and side for a tight seal keeping water and food particles out. The infinite control switch has letters such as H1, H2 etc as the switch fits several models with different wiring diagrams and colours so it's impt to note this when transferring the old wires to the new switch. Also the gasket along the top glass edge ensure to note exactly how it is placed to reinstall to be exact when you reassemble. Replace the 4 control knobs by pushing them on after aligning to fit as they were removed. New switch should be positioned the same as the others with off at the top and a notable click. Be sure to note this when transferring wires from the old to new switch. Turn breaker on. Note: If you have minimal skills this should be left to someone who is an electrician or has repair experience in this field.

One of the switches on my range is not functioning. The switch that I have is 318220080. According to your cross reference at your site, the manufacturer uses 903136-9010 to replace 318220080. However, the pins located in 903136-9010 and in 318220080 are in different location. I cannot figure out which pin in 903136-9010 corresponds to which pin in 318220080? Do you have a diagram showing the mapping of pins between these two parts?
For model number CFES365EC2
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your question. The switch is marked with lettering just as your previous switch was. There should be L1, L2, H1, H2, and P next to the terminals on the switch. The black wires would go to L1 and the red wire would go to L2. The H1 and H2 will go to the elements and the P terminal will have the wire from the indicator light would attach to it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi William,
Thank you for your question. There is a video on our website that you can reference on how to install the surface burner switch. The stove in the video may not show exactly like the one you have, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. You will find the video under part number PS236754. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The switch on my stove for the back burner doesn't always go off when i switch it off. Sometimes i have to turn it back and forth until it goes off and sometimes it comes back on by itself. So i'm wondering what switch i need to replace?
For model number 79046609500
Hi Marcia, thank you for your question. There are a couple of parts that could cause this issue specifically. You will need a multi meter to be able to test the parts. The first part you will want to check is your radiant element. It should be reading between 0 - 120 ohms to be working correctly. The other part to check would be your infinite (or surface burner) switch. When you remove that part from the appliance, connect each probe from your multi meter to the prongs and then turn the switch to an on position. If you get no continuity then the switch is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

How do i remove the front panel to access the switch
For model number fes355dbb
Hello Andrew, Thank you for your inquiry. Remove the knobs and supports by pulling them off. You may have to disconnect the switch as well. You should now be able to lift off the outer control panel. Then remove the screws that hold the inner control panel on. You should now be able to access the switches. Hope this helps!
