My dishwasher door spring and hinge link popped off. On inspection, it appears that the hinge link has broken. I would like to make repair myself but have two questions: (1) is it necessary to pull dishwasher out from sink board or is removal of lower front panel sufficient to make repair (2) does the left hinge link attach to the left hinge in the same manner as right hinge link and right hinge?

Hi Tom, great questions. You will need to pull the appliance out roughly a foot so you can access the hinge, and replace it. Yes the left hinge link attaches to the hinge. The left hinge should be installed the same as the right hinge, if you right hinge is working properly it will be a good reference for you as you replace the left one. I hope this helps, good luck with your repair!
