Plastic material is not good for this part. We have only had our refrigerator for 2 1/2 years and this is already our second replacement part since it’s plastic and if you drop anything out of the refrigerator and it falls on it it breaks right in half. I think GE needs to come up with a metal one

No kickplate on use refrigerator I bought.
I put kickplate on refrigerator and use 2 sheetrock screws and drill to attach. Done in 5 minutes.

What size screw do you use?

Hi Tina, Thank you for the question. This model number does not require screws. The clips that hold it onto the appliance are included with the grille and just pushes and snaps into place. Good luck with the repair!
