Replacement part had a different configuration
I simply removed the switch and matched the pole numbers to the new switch eventhough the new switch had two extra poles. The switch replacement was straightforward and worked very well.

Temp very hot on all settings 200+
For model number DPSR610EG7WT
Hello Doug. Thank you for the question. There are a few parts you can test with a multi meter. I suggest testing the Cycling Thermostat PartSelect Number PS267926, Safety Thermostat PartSelect Number PS267911, High Limit Thermostat PartSelect Number PS267900 and the Bias Thermostat PartSelect Number PS267949. Hope this helps!
I can't turn the knob to set the temperature. It just goes around and around.
For model number GTDP490GD2WS
Hi Elaine,
Thank you for your question. If you are unable to turn the knob, the part on the back of the knob that fits on the shaft from the rotary temperature switch could be stripped or broken. Remove the knob and inspect it. If the knob is fine, then the shaft that the knob goes on is damaged and you will need to replace the rotary temperature switch. If you would like to place an order for one of these parts, you may order it either online or by calling our customer service line and anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
