Front Burner Igniter/Orifice Assembly Specifications

This igniter and orifice assembly is a legitimate OEM replacement part for your gas stove, and includes the igniter, orifice assembly, and gas tube. This part may need replacing if the igniter fails or the tube is leaking gas. It is a very easy repair. Remove the grates and burners from the range. Unscrew the existing assemblies and pry off the cooktop. Locate the assembly you are replacing and undo the nut holding it in place. Pull out the igniter wire by hand, and install the new one, replacing the rest of the parts in reverse order.

The wire for the electrode lighter broke off when I plied the top off to clean underneath (don’t take the top off unless you unbolt the burners first)
Turn off gas, unplug, unbolt the burners(you have to do this to keep from bending and or kinking over the gas lines.Luck kept me from bending the lines out of whack.)All I needed was the electrode but I couldn’t find it available separately.I had to buy the whole front burner.Anyway remove the clip from the new part slide the electrode out.Tilt the top of the range up take the clip off of the old electrode slide it out put the new one in install clip.Plug it in,rebolt all the burners in.Careful not to bend the gas lines.put the top down turn on the gas, plug it in and light.

Hi Eduardo, Thank you for your question. If there is only one burner working and the others are not, the issue is likely either the spark module or the wiring harness and you will need to check each part to see which one is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

For model number 790.78663600
PartSelect logo
Good Day George. Thank you for your question in regards to the Front Burner Igniter/Orifice Assembly (PartSelect Number PS2332312). The following are the steps to remove and replace this part: 1) Unplug the appliance before beginning any repair. 2) Shut off gas supply. 3) Remove all of the burner grates, the burner caps and bases and the screws underneath. 4) Insert a putty knife between the main top and the control panel to release the two spring clips. 5) Pull the main top off. 6) Remove wire from the electrode. Use a wrench to remove the old burner tube from the valve. 7) Install new burner tube by screwing it onto the valve, then tighten with the wrench. 8) Attach the wire to the electrode. 9) Slide the main top back on, press down to lock it into place. 10) Align the burner tubes with the holes in the main top and secure with the screws. 11) Replace burner bases by lining up the electrodes with slot or hole in each base. 12) Replace burner caps/grates. 13) And you're done!

Where is the pilot to turn on gas?
For model number fgfb79gsd

The igniter light the gas in the oven, which are PartSelect Number: PS1528534 bake igniter and broil igniter is PartSelect Number: PS1528535. For the top burners, the igniters that light the gas at each burner is only available by ordering the burner/igniter/orifice assembly. I hope this helps.

My right front burner does not light. I have to light it with a match. All the other burners light. What should I purchase? On the Kenmore site it gave me a part number 316237701 or 31623704 and your site says that is for the back burner. Please advise.

Takes a very long time to preheat
For model number FGF337ESD
PartSelect logo
Hi Joy, Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat or probe, and you will need to check it with a multimeter. When testing the sensor with a multimeter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. The part number for the sensor or probe listed under your model number is PS11731754. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
