Bad switch.
Removed the old switch and put in a new one. Sure beats buying a new deep freeze.

Freezer temp was either -20 or +30, operation was intermittant
I replaced the thermostat, all but the capillary pipe. It was stuck in the tube in which it fits. I had to let it sit unplugged until the ice in the cap tube melted, and I was able to lightly jerk on the cap pipe until it came loose and slipped out. Put in the new one and sealed the end of the tube with putty.

Could this be the reason my freezer stop freezing it defrosted completely
For model number FCM7SUFWW
Hello Anthony, thank you for your question. The thermostat could be the issue. If the compressor is still running I would recommend replacing the thermostat part number WR50X10085. If you can't hear/see the compressor running, I would suggest replacing the PTC Part Number: PS2354404 and the Overload Protector Part Number: PS2354405. These parts start the compressor, and protect it from overloading/overheating. If the compressor is not running at all these parts should be replaced. I hope this helps!

My freezer will run and get up to temp and then shut off after an hour or two and i will have to unplug and plug back in. Is this an overload switch or thermostat problem? Thank you.
For model number LCM070LC
Hi Lee, thank you for your question. It could be either however you may actually want to check your run capacitor and your relay on your compressor first. If those parts are fine then you would go on to check your defrost thermostat and defrost heater. Good luck with your repair.

I have a Haier upright freezer that runs constantly. The freezer temp won’t go below +20 and the compressor runs hot. 185 degrees!
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your question. Depending on the type of freezer that you have, if it is running constantly, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the temperature control or thermostat, the defrost timer, the defrost thermostat, the user control or electronic display board, the defrost heater and the door gasket. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

My freezer GE Profile has frozen in both part
For model number PDRSOMBXARSS
Hello Harold, thank you for writing. If your unit is Freezing you may need the Defrost Heater PartSelect Number PS303768. You may want to test your board as well. The part number is PartSelect Number PS1766240. We hope this helps.
I have a moffat chest freezer that I hear a clicking noise but is melting. I was wondering if you had wpf27.7a-l part?
For model number MCM5SUWW
Hello Becky, Thank you for the question. Very sorry but wpf27.7a-l is not showing to be a valid number. I suggest testing the Thermostat PartSelect Number PS2323338. This part helps maintain a constant temperature within the appliance. Hope this helps!

The freezer does not freeze. When the unit is turned on the compressor seems to run for around 5-6 seconds and than shuts down. I am not sure what the issue is. Thanks, Gary
For model number HCM071LC
Hello Gary, Thank you for the question. This sounds like an issue with the Start Relay and overload. I looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued sorry. There are no part substitutions listed. My suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a substitution for these part numbers. Hope this helps!
