Cooking light will not go off button will not shut light

Hello Richard,
Thank you for your inquiry. With the light not shutting off, there are normally two different causes linked to this issue. The first, and most common would be the failure of the secondary door switch. If this fails, then the microwave may send a signal to the light thinking the door is still open. The second part would be the monitor door switch itself, same issue, it will think the door is open as the signal is too weak, or has already stopped working. Both parts should be checked and or replaced if needed. The part numbers for both are below;
Monitor door switch- PS237422
Secondary door switch- PS237421
