The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. This is a single OEM water filter that fits under-counter and inline water filtration systems. It meets NSF/ANSI standards, delivering better tasting healthier drinking and cooking water. It cuts down on chlorine flavor and odor and lessons the amount of sediment particles often found in household water. Some common signs that your filter is due for a change are if the water flow rate has slowed down or if your water starts to have an unusual taste. To ensure smooth operation and quality water, replace the filter every 6 months. To install, start by placing a rag on the floor in case of water spillage. To remove the old filter, turn it counter-clockwise until it discharges from the filter head. Check to make sure the O-rings are in good health. Push the new cartridge into the head and turn clockwise until it stops. Flush 3.9 gallons (3 minutes) of water and dump the first three batches of ice after replacing the cartridge. The operating pressure needs to be 35-120 PSI, operating temperature needs to be 33-100 degrees Fahrenheit, and flow rate is 0.78 GPM.

I need to replace my water filter and dont know the correct filter to get and how to replace it?

Hi Eddie, thank you for your question. I have linked the correct filter below for you. When it comes to replacing the water filter, most models simply twist out with a quarter turn to the left. You may consider wearing a glove with some grip on it, or gripping the filter with a towel in order to twist it effectively. As long as you're turning the filter to the left, and not pulling outward on it too hard, you shouldn't have a problem with the assembly. I hope this helps, and best of luck with the repair.

The ice maker is very very slow at making ice anymore. What could be the problem?

Hi Eddie, thank you for your question. There are two parts that you should check for this issue. The first part to test would be your water inlet valve. The valve has two solenoids that control either the dispenser or the ice maker. Even if your dispenser is working the ice maker solenoid may not be and vise versa. The valve can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance. If that part is testing correctly then you should look into your ice maker being the issue. Have old model made 8-04. Water runs for drinking water but does not fill ice maker. Suspect it may be the filter. Comments would be helpful! Thanks
