Cracked ice tray with motor
Removed ice maker. Removed one screw and removed ice tray with motor. Had to unplug the wire bundle from the refrigerator wall behind the ice maker.
Screws holding motor and parts were corroded and very difficult to remove. Once remover the unit was easily reassembled and replaced into the refrigerator.
The ice maker was cleaned and carefully placed onto the ice shelf.
the ice maker restarted fine.
Great part delivery.

the auger had broke out the plastic of the ice enclosure
Removed the ice bucket, reached under the ice enclosure and unplugged the auger motor removed the ice enclosure, attached the auger motor on the new ice enclosure reinstalled the new ice enclosure, plugged the auger motor and put the ice bucket back in place. The hardest part was to get the forked piece that goes inside the ice enclosure off of the auger motor. I ordered the part one day and it was at my house the next day!

Humming noise from inside freezer and no ice out the dispenser.
Troubleshoot noise and linked it with no ice from dispenser due to the fact the auger motor was completely broken from enclosure. Search Internet for part number, and supplier. Order part on line convienance, wife did not tell me she picked up box from front porch, spent two days tracking down a box that was right inside the front door. Then... Remove ice bin. Unplug harness from rear wall behind ice enclosure. Remove 1 sheet metal screw from under enclosure with 1/4 nut driver. Remove enclosure. Remove auger motor, 4 machine screws. Remove despencer solenoid, yoke assembly, and yoke guide, 2 machine screws, 2 sheet metal screws. Assembly is reverse of removal.

Auger housing for ice despener motor cracked
Located part on your web site with the aid of the drawings. Ordered part received in two days. Read the descriptions of the repair on the web site. This took a few minutes and was well worth the time investment. Do not skip this step. Reverse thread on the auger yoke info was very helpful. Your website is wonderful. Only bad thing my wife said is now she does not get a new refrigerator.

motor mounts broken loose from enclosure
Removed frozen foods and ice container to get to enclosure. Removed single screw with 1/4" nut driver. Disconnected wiring harness from behind housing after lifting up and out a bit. Removed components from back of old housing, reinstalled in new. Tapped prong loose from motor shaft to pull in though piece of old broken housing.(reverse threaded) Screwed back into place and replaced motor in proper location. Reinserted housing, replugged wiring harness, replaced 1/4" screw to secure. Placed ice tray back in line with prong and frozen food (still frozen)back in shelves. Quick, easy and auto ice in the door again! And for less than 80 bucks. Is this a great country or what?

The motor that drives the ice auger, broke out of the plastic
I won't repeat the removale process, straight forward. The issue is removing the U shaped driver on the motor. You have to trun it clockwise (looking at it from the front) to remove it from the drive shaft in order to install the motor on the new shelf. The problem is the motor wants to turn as well. I used skinny plyers to hold the shaft but still could not get enought presure to stop the shaft from truning. Finally decided to have my wife hold the plyers and I tapped the auger blade with a small hammer. Success. Reinstallation was simple enought.
One important key: You are not done. Once it is all reinstalled, be sure empty out the ice bin, dry all the parts as best you can, and activate the dispenser every 15 min or so for the first hour. Otherwise it will freeze up and you will think it is broken again.

The motor that pushes ice forward out the ice-maker door had broken free from its plastic mounting
Went very quickly. The biggest problem was manipulating all the frozen packages such that I could reach mounting screws. In the future, I'd be prepared with a cooler to place the frozen goods during the repair time, which required the freezer door be wide open throughout the repair.

motor fell out of enclosure
I read all the other repair stories and followed them. The only thing I would add is to use Lock ease on the screws (had trouble with getting two out) and yoke before removing them. I sprayed the lock ease on two screws and the yoke, left it sit for 30 minutes and everything removed smoothly. Especially the yoke that everyone wrote as the most difficult thing to get off.

Ice not dispencing
Removed icebin from refrigerator and placed it in sink. Saw the iced over hole where the motor mount used to be. Removed screw from under shelf with nut driver. Used a hair dryer to melt ice buildup from shelf (don't forget towels to soak up water). Remove the shelf out 6" to unplug harness from back wall. Pull shelf out onto counter to remove all screws. To remove u bracket from motor gently tap bracket with hammer to "break loose" bracket from motor. Put the motor shaft through new shelf hole and attatch screws and u bracket. Put shelf back in and reconnect wire harness to wall. Test the motor by pressing sensor to dispense ice. If all works Finnish reconnecting and put ice bin back in to collect ice. I emptyed my ice bin prior to putting back in.
