Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. The start relay briefly boosts the compressor, and then shuts off as soon as the motor gets up to speed. The overload provides added protection for the compressor motor because in addition to protecting against excessive current, it also protects against excessive temperature use.

Frig wasn't cooling or freezing
ohms-tested the overload relay and PTC component BUT failed to test the compressor. Turns out that it was the compressor was bad and a do-it-ourselfer won't be able to change out this component. Must be licensed to install freon back into the lines once they are separated. Also specialized soldering equip. and freon equipment is needed
... Read more to perform this task. And if you add too much or the wrong kind of product or don't accurately install the bullet-piercing valve you can risk damaging the unit. So, ALWAYS Oms-test the compressor while testing the capacitor and overload and relay kit!!

Fridge would run but not blow cold air. Compressor would cycle for 12 seconds every 5 minutes
remove back lower panel using nutdriver. Locate and remove Relay and Overload parts from side of Compressor which were located inside a small white box shaped cover unti held on by a spring clip. Attach new Relay and overload to 3 pin terminals on side of compressor. Attach 1 white & 1 orange/white wire to relay terminals. Attach supplied

I have the 4sp wiring and i'm looking for the correct relay/overload, mine is a small white box, 4spo4d419lf, next line 10 to3l, next line brazil, i just want to order the correct part so not to be faced with return problem,i also need a run capacitor for the same unit, thank you ! Bob

Hi, i need the same part as bob there, i also have the 4sp wiring, but my overload/relay is part# 4sp04d419lf, next line 02 k03l. The refrigerator serial# is 15076186cl. Can i order that part from you?
