Icemaker fill tube cracked
The factory installed fill tube was formed and molded, hard plastic. Nothing like the replacement part or the one depicted in the install instructions. To remove it, I had to grip the exterior water tube module with a pair of Visegrip pliers, twist and pull as hard as possible, to expose a section of fill tube. I then had to cut through the tube with a hacksaw to remove the module and flange that secure it to the access hole. From the inside, I removed the ice maker and fan shield to expose the remaining section of fill tube. Using a section of copper pipe and a hammer, I was able to drive the tube through the back wall of the appliance. Fitting the new tube was easy. However, it is too short to reach the fill cup. I fashioned a section of the old tube to create an extension which I inserted in the new part. And, much to my surprise, it actually works!

leak from back of refrigerator where water line enters ice compartment
replaced old water fill tube for ice maker because it would clog with frozen water which would result in leaking from back of refrigerator where water line for ice maker entered refrigerator. Parts arrived faster than anticipated from parts select. New part was made differently (up-graded) so that water would not freeze. removed old fill tube and replaced with new. replaced water tubing and secured. leak is no longer present and I do not anticipate further issues from this problem. How do you remove the ice maker fill tube (#12001935)? The exterior flange has no screws holding it to the rear panel. Is it brute force or is it fastened internally? Thank you so much.

I received the ice maker and installed with no problem to resolve water leaking into the freezer compartment. Water is leaking some ware and running downward at the back of the inside of the freezer. I am not sure what part to order. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello Peter, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the water valve. It could be sending water to the ice maker when it is not suppose to and causing it to over fill and leak. You can also check the water lines going from the valve to the ice maker to see if they are damaged and leaking. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
