Tight fit
Working from back of machine, slip old belt off drum pulley. Loosen 1/2" nut to remove drive motor from outer drum assembly. Work motor toward front of machine, while holding carefully, to slip out of old isolators. Remove worn isolators. Replace with new isolators (lip towards front of machine). Re-install motor with the nut/washer all t
... Read morehe way up against the stop for the least amount of pressure possible on belt tension..tighten bolt. (Believe me.. when you try to install the belt, it will still seem like the belt is not the right size and way too tight.).. It is, however, the correct belt. Have a zip-tie ready. Engage the new belt on the motor shaft pulley. The belt grooves should line up with the motor shaft grooves towards the end of the shaft. Grip the drum pulley and rotate counterclockwise while guiding the belt onto the pulley. At about 12 O'Clock, zip-tie the belt to the pulley.. then rotate ccw until installed.. (about 6 O'Clock). Snip off the zip-tie and your ready to go.

Loud noise
Beat on spline shaft until I gave up and trashed the washer. Bought new washer.
Washer was so loud in the spinning cycle it sounded like a jet was taking off
We took the washer completely apart. Replaced the bearings, pulley and belt. We decided to replace anything that involved the spinning cycle while we had it all apart. It was well worth the time and effort we put into it. It works like a chime and is very quiet . Silence is golden ! Hopefully it will work another 18 years.
after cutting my hand I installed masking tape around the opening on the back of the washer. All went well after that

Burn smell during spin cycle.
I followed the instruction of using a tie strap to secure belt to drive pulley and turn pulley to place belt on pulley. Worked great. Done in no time.

Drive belt sqeaked and contiued to roll off the drum.
Removed washer back panel (after unplugging unit). Installed new belt. Reinstalled back panel. Belt wAs very tight getting it to roll onto the drum.

... Read moreect the problem. Checked for power and traced loss of power back to the Control Board where resistor R11 was found to be burnt out. Replaced Resistor with new Carbon Film unit, rating of 3.9 K-ohms, 1/4 W and 5%. As a prcaution, replace the Triac (manufactue part number NTE5657), component identified as Q6, rating of 0.8 Amp, 600 VAC. Semiconductor parts must be obtained from somewhere other than Parts Select (unable to find in the small town I live in, I located on the internet at Mouser.com). Unit works great now.
I took off the rear panel and removed the hose clamps and electrical terminals, slid pump out of slot in bottom pan of washing machine. It only took minutes, this was part of a major overhaul. I replaced this as a precautionary measure. Great prices and quick service,

Pumps water out but does not seem to agitate or spin. Error code indicates motor not running properly. But it sounds like the motor is running.
