Door on soap dispenser not opening installed new wax motor still won't open when going thru cycle cannot find any thing wrong with the dispenser parts the wax motor does extend when i take it out and bench test it what controls the power to it could it be the timer is faulty and still cycle thru all the cycles

Hi Steven Thank you for your inquiry. Yes that definitely could happen. There are only three parts that might cause your dispenser not to open, the timer, wax motor, and bi-metal fuse. If both your wax motor and bi-metal fuse are fine, then it is more than likely your timer that is the issue. If you are still unsure about it, I would suggest getting a repair technician to come and take a look at your appliance. I hope that this helps. Good luck with your repair.

Parts Used:
Level of Difficulty: A Bit Difficult
Time to do repair: 30 - 60 mins
Tools: Nutdriver, Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set

Timer stuck at one spot. Would not complete cycle. Washer kept running during all night and would not shut down.

Removed timer by removing 3 screws unplugged the wiring harness and replaced timer with new one. reinstalled screws and plugged in the wiring harness.
Found a leak at the soap dispenser trip.
Ordered a new wax motor actuator, installed it but found that the soap dispenser is still not working.
Installed a home made rubber trip seal to prevent further leakage. no more leaks dispenser not working. Need help or advise.
