Hello Renee, thank you for your question. It sounds like the solenoid that changes the bucket from crushed to cubed and back is not functioning properly. We would recommend replacing PartSelect Number: PS8691994 Crushed/Cubed Ice Solenoid Assembly. I hope this helps!

Hello Bobby, thank you for reaching out. If the ice maker is turned off, then the auger motor should not be operating unless it has some issue. To see if the auger motor is defective, we suggest that you pull out the ice bucket and turn the bucket auger by hand. If the auger is moving freely, use a multimeter to test for continuity in the motor. If the motor does not have continuity, then you might need to replace it with part number PS10057235.
