My range suddenly would not heat up past temps in the 170's & it takes a while to get there. I replaced the temp probe & it did not make a difference. Getting heat from somewhere, both elements are warm but you can touch them with bare hand. Could both elements be bad? Or is the oven control board going bad?
For model number FGEF3055MFE
Hi Tim,
Thank you for your question. If you have just replaced the oven sensor, then you will need to check the electronic control board, the wiring connections between the electronic control board and temperature sensor as well as the bake and broil elements. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Oven/bake does not heat over 370 degrees. Has a acrid, chemical smell. Supply power tests 155v @ each leg & 305v across the legs? Bake element tests 17 ohms bus has no burned areas or melt holes.

Hello David, Thank you for the question. I suggest Testing the Oven Probe, Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

My brolier turns on when i put on the bake/quick bake. I've tested the thermostat and it is fine. We had an f10 error after a day trying to figure out what was wrong. Can it be that i need a new bake element? What's your opinion?
For model number Cgef3032mbb

Oven shows set 350, 15-20m later up to 500 & F10code with alarm come on. Temp Sensor part 316490000 replaced. Still over heats but no F10code or alarm. Another part to try?
