I purchased the bottom rack. To replace old one. How do i removed the old lower spray tower and install on new rack?
For model number MDB9150AWW
Hello George, Thank you for your inquiry. Turn the tower 30 degrees counter clockwise to remove and carefully pull it off the rack. Re-install on the new rack in reverse. When reinstalling new one there are two holes on the side of the tower body that must face the front of the rack when installed. Good Luck with your repair!

I just received the bottom rack that i had ordered for my dishwasher. I see that i will need to remove the center sprayer from the old one to put on the new one. Any suggestions on how to do that fairly easy?
For model number MDB6100AWB
Hi Candy, Thank you for the question. The spray arm just snaps on and off. You shoudl be able to tilt it to one side and pop it off the old rack. Hope this helps!

My lower rack has rusted and needs to be replaced. I can't tell from the picture if it comes with any tines. The rack i have now has stationary tines on each side of the silverware basket and movable tines further in the back. I can see that i can order the movable tines but i don't know how many i need.

Pieces of the lower dishrack were loosing the plastic coating and snapping off.
First of all, I removed the existing lower dishrack. That was a piece of cake! The part that was tricky was getting the spray arm out of the center so that it could be placed into the new dishrack. I finally figured out that I simply had to twist this piece (I think to the right) to remove it. I reversed this step to place the spray arm assembly into the new dishrack. And then VOILA...I just slid the new dishrack in place!

Dishwasher racks were all rusted and the coating was wore off.
Just took the racks out installed the new ones in no tool required.
I will go through partselect.com again. Had a very good esperience with them.
The lower rack of my dishwasher was falling apart right before my eyes. Tines were breaking off and there was so much rust that my dishes were beginning to become stained. After reading the comments posted at PartsSelect, I decided to try replacing the rack instead of buying a whole new dishwasher. From the posted comments I was able to figure out that the spray tower could be easily removed if I pressed down on it and turned it counterclockwise. After removing the old rack and sliding in the new one, I simply reversed the order, pressing the plastic tower down and turning it clockwise. It was SO simple I was embarassed that I had waited so long to attempt it, and that I had considered replacing a perfectly good dishwasher just because the lower rack was falling apart! I'd also like to add that the rack came in two days! Great service, great price, great web site. Thanks!

Racks were rusted and the tines were breaking off
The bottom rack was easiest, just picked it up out of the dishwasher and moved the sprayer and the silverware holder from the old rack to the new rack and set it back in the dishwasher. The top rack was a little tricky, it took a minute to figure out to remove the little end-caps on the runners and then it just slid out. Slid the new one in, replaced the caps and moved the upper rack basket. It took less than 15 minutes to fix and now it's like a brand new dishwasher!
Read the experiences here, very helpful. Bottom slides out first - really easy. The new part comes with rollers, you don't need to remove the old ones. Now the only problem, getting the sprayer off the bottom basket. Look carefullty, you must use a screwdriver to release one side of the sprayer, then it works off easily. Make sure you note the orientation of the base of the sprayer. Reverse steps above and you are done. New tray slides in. Our new tray was a bit wider than the old one so we needed to use a bit of pressure to "shrink" the back just a wee bit.
The upper is easy also. Since the rails are uneven, make sure you put the high rollers on the high side no matter what your wife told about how it is supposed to go in. The end caps snap inward and slide out of the rails. Easy once you know. The uneven rails are obvious once you notice. Total time was 45 minuts, 30 of which was figuring out how to get the sprayer off without damage.
Would be nice to know the factory recommendation for removing the sprayer.
Replaced upper and lower racks. The new lower rack has a design flaw: it has 3 wheels on each side, but should have 4 wheels on each side. When you pull out the bottom rack, the last set of wheels drop down into the open space where the door hinges to the cabinet, causing the dishes to bounce and shake around. Then when you push rack in, you have to lift it back up onto the tracks made for the wheels to roll on. You can't pull the bottom rack out far enough to access the back of the rack very well.
Old rack assembly was rolled out , the plastic water disperser was twisted off of the old rack and placed on the new rack assembly. The new rack was rolled into place. Project complete.

My racks were rusting, and a few tines had fallen off
First I did the top - getting the ends off the track is simple, flip the ends "open" like a book on each side, and remove the caps. Pull out the rack, replace with the new one and replace the caps. Bottom rack was easier once I figured out how to remove the spray tower. Grab it firmly and twist. Place it in the new rack, and roll it into the DW. I'm a fairly handy woman, and this was quite easy.
Most difficult was figuring out how to release the top rack...just flip the end pieces to the side and out they come. Next was removing and reinserting the spray head in the bottom rack...just twist and take out then align and twist into place in the new rack.
Replace lower dish rack as orignal was corroded and the holders were rotted
Took the replacment rack out of the box and found that it was the proper one. Had to rotate out the water director tower from the orignal rack and install it in new rack which took a few seconds to figure out . it was time to discard the ailing rack! Apparently the dish soap can attack the rack materia if there is any metal exposed and rot it out like rust so when this happens time for a new one. Otherwise there are no pins to support the bowls and plates in the lower section.

Arrived as promised.
This lower dish rack replacement for Jennair arrived safely; all plus ***** for that.
However it is not a "PERFECT" replacement. It has less number of axles for its support wheels and therefore needs to be managed gingerly -- as the rack slips off onto the open door. You have to provide a manual lift support to push the rack back in after loading dishes - otherwise it slams down off the railing onto the open door.
Also the instructions for how to remove the Nozzle tower sprayer had to be learned from a competitors web site rather than on PartSelect.

As advertised.
Description of lower dishwashing rack said it lacked several features of the rack that originally came with my dishwasher. That proved to be true. Overall quality of replacement rack is less than original, but it still works.

Works!
The part is different than the original but fits perfectly. The old one had some tines that could be moved up and down and a shelf that could be flipped down if you wanted to stack cups etc. I honestly don’t missed them. You need to move the tower from the old one to the new one but that was a piece of cake. It arrived in the time frame expected.
