Unpluged washer, turned off water supply, removed front covers, removed spring on right side to allow drum to lean over, removed the 2 hoses from pump, removed motor (4 bolts), removed 3 screws holding pump. Installed a new belt and replaced the pump. I replaced the hoses on the pump, replaced the spring, and turned on the water, plugge ... Read more d in the washer, turned it on and hoped for the best. Worked fine, no leaks or problems.

replaced belt that was wore out. decided to replace pump while I had washer apart.

I was able to remove the belt because it was worn through. However, I was unable to remove the pump as described in the instructions because I was unable to get my torq wrench to the bolts. I ended up having a repairman come in.

Removed front cover of machine. Removed motor/pump assembly which was held in by four (4) bolts. At the same time removed belt from transmission pulley. I first ordered the parts and to my dismay, I ordered the wrong belt for the spin belt. I called customer service in which received an Return Merchandise Number and ordered the correct belt. PartSelect was prompt on sending the correct out by FedEx, thank you for an excellent experience.

I seemed to have a more difficult time changing the pump out than others who had left their instructions on line prior to me.
What I has to do is remove the 4 bolts that secured the motor & mount to the frame. I then unplugged the wire harness from the motor leads.

I ... Read more then removed the motor, motor mount and pump assembly. Turned it upside down & removed the pump. When installing the new pump you will need to remember how the belt was routed. A local parts house actually gave me a xeroxed schematic that showed me how to route it. A real life saver.
After that I turned the assembly right side up, bolted the mount into place, installed the new belt onto the large flywheel, attached the belt tension spring, plugged in the wiring harness and ran a rinse cycle. No leaks. Good as new.
Yes. It took a little longer than expected. But it was alot cheaper than having a service man do it.

Please read the comments from other people before you start the repair. The hints are great, and save you time.
Removing the old pump from the shaft with two screwdrivers

The metal surfaces are sharp inside the machine, and I suggest placing a good light inside the machine so that you can see where the belt goes. Follow Joseph's instructions from Goldsboro NC to a tee, and your repair will be a great experience.

Unplug the washer to prevent shock while handling motor. Remove the front botton access panel. Move the drive belt off the idler pulley to provide slack to move belt off the other pulleys. Note position or take picture of belt position before removal to aid in getting it in the correct position for reinstallation. Move the hose clamps ... Read more up the hoses far enough to remove the hoses from the pump. A towel is handy here as there is still a little water in the hoses and pump. Remove the four bolts holding the motor bracket to the bottom of the washer. The wiring to the motor does not need to be disconnected. Rotate the bracket with motor and pump attached so that the assembly is horizontal and the pump is to the right hand side. Use the torx bit to remove the bolts holding the pump in place. Install the new pump, being careful to get the drive belt in the proper position while doing so. Do not over tighten the bolts on the new pump since it is plastic. Rotate the motor bracket back to its original position and install the four bolts. Get all four bolts installed loosely before tightening any fully to insure the bracket is aligned properly and none of the bolts will be in a bind. Once the bolts are tight, put the drive belt on the small pulley and then work in around to position on the large pulley. Position the belt back into its position on the idler pulley. Put the hoses on the pump as far as they will go then slide the hose clamps back into their original position. Replace the bottom access panel and plug the washer back in.

Removed spring, then hoses and then belts. When all was removed we loosen the old washer pump and installed the new pump. Everything was re-installed and was put to wash. At first it leaked water that was already sitting there, but then it work like new. Oh I also read the instruction on this website, I recommend the site to everyone!!
