Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This main control board is a vital electronic component that governs the essential operations of compatible refrigerators. Acting as the central processor, it regulates temperature settings, manages fan speeds, controls the defrost cycle, and coordinates other key functions to ensure consistent cooling and food preservation. Integrated LED lighting enhances visibility within the refrigerator, while sensor inputs allow the board to dynamically adjust performance for optimal energy efficiency. A malfunctioning control board may result in erratic temperatures, non-functional lighting, or unresponsive controls. Replacing a faulty unit with this genuine OEM component restores reliable operation and supports long-term appliance performance.

Gently pull the entire assembly forward to remove. It has two pins that align and hold the back of the assembly to the deck. 7. Place assembly on a table with the control board facing up. 8. Remove plastic push pin that holds protective cover over the control circuit board. 9. Remove temperature control knob by pulling straight out. 10. Push back 2 locking tabs at the front of the control circuit board so it will become loose. 11. Pry up cable tie mount that holds wire bundle to the assembly. 12. Free thermistor wire from it guides and flip over the assembly that is holding the sensor. 13. Peel up the tape holding the wire in the molded groove so wire/sensor can be removed. It is not necessary to remove the tape since you will use it again. 14. Remove the two wires that connect to the door switch at the front left of the assembly. It's a tight fit, but you can remove the spade connectors. 15. Now the circuit board assembly can be removed and set aside. 16. Optional - at this time you can use the continuity tester to verify the door switch is working properly. 17. Now install the new control board by reversing the removal steps.

Hello. Rear lower mechanical all seems to be operating okay . Compressor runs, coils were just cleaned and the condenser fan is operating.
My fridge and freezer are about 8-18 degrees warmer than their settings. I want to change the fans but what controls the fans? Can you tell me if this control board controls the freezer/fridge evaporator fans and any other suggestions you have to try and replace. Maybe Temperature sensors also? Thanks.
For model number CYE22TSHJSS
Hello Dan, Thank you for writing. If the fans are running they shouldn't need to be replaced as well as the control board that controls the fans. We suggest testing the Temperature Sensor. The Sensor sends the temperature reading of the compartment to the control board. If you notice your refrigerator is too warm, too cold, or not defrosting properly, then there may be a problem with your sensor. We hope this helps!
