Does the gearbox include the tub pulley and is it grooved or flat? Is the belt inverted with the grooved side on the motor and the flat side on the tub pulley? Does part number w11454734 (gearcase) come with new seals?
For model number 110.25132411
Hi Theresa,
Thank you for your question. The pulley is sold with the washer pulley kit and it is flat. The gearcase does come with a tub seal. The belt is not inverted, but flat. Here is a link to one of our YouTube videos that you may reference on how to install the belt, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z498g06oWIE&t=113s. The washer in the video may be different from yours, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. If you would like to place an order for the parts, you may order them either online or by calling our customer service line and anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

Washer doesn't agitate. It does everything else normally, including spinning. I think I need agitator cogs. Is there a model number for the agitator cogs on my Whirlpool model? Thank you.
For model number WTW5000DW1
Hello Debra, Thank you for the question. Since this model does not have the Full/Tall Agitator, it does not have cogs. We suggest checking the Drive Hub Kit, PartSelect Number PS6012095. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
Machine works fine but on occasions there is a very very loud grinding and knocking noise during spin cycle only. Are there bearings in the gear case and could they be defective? Agitator, actuator, drive belt and tub agitator parts have been replaced and the sound still exist.
For model number MVWX655DWI
Hello Henry, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, replacing the gearcase should solve your issue. If the issue still exist, we would recommend replacing washer drive pulley, part number PS10057144, and suspension rod support, part number PS3502189. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!
Washer shakes violently. I’ve replaced shocks and tested only bounces one when pushed down. Notice when I hold the barrel and spin the drum it doesn’t spine true it wobbles. I have a video of this. Could it be the gear box spindle bent?
For model number wtw5000dw1
Hi Frank, Thank you for writing. We suggest checking the Gear Box for wear or damage. Once the drum is removed, test the shaft to see if it is stable. We hope this helps!

So i replaced my belt and the clutch on my washer and it still has a burning smell on the rinse and spin cycle. Not so much on the wash cycle. I was wondering could it be the transmission or the motor? I did a load on quick wash and thought i seen some oil residue inside on the plate wiped it out and the next day did another quick load and didnt see any oil. Just trying to pin point what it could possibly be. It has the burning rubber smell smale loads you dont smell it as much but a medium load the smell is more prominent. Any help would be great the washer isnt that old and with 5 people in the house laundry is a must everyday.

Hello Amber, thank you for the question. If you have replaced the belt and clutch, then the issue is most probably with the drive motor, part number PS12584593 or the washer drive pulley, part number PS10057144. We recommend replacing the defective part. If you require assistance placing an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!
My washer will spin but not fast enough to get all the water out of the clothes. My wife has to wring out the shirts and she's not happy. I replaced the drive pulley set and belt. Could I need the gearcase too?
For model number MVWC565FW0
Hello Craig, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking the drive hub kit, part number PS6012095, before replacing the gearcase, part number PS16220911. Please check the drive hub for slippage and damage. Provided that the drive hub kit is good replacing the gearcase is the most likely solution. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.
The machine will agitate and spin for a second or two and then stops
For model number MVWC565FW1
Hello Joe, thank you for contacting us. Sometimes the machine will stop agitating or spinning because of a faulty door lock, part number PS12704713. If that is not the case, we would recommend checking the drive hub kit, part number PS6012095, and the drive pulley, part number PS10057144. If this does not solve the problem, the issue is probably related to a faulty shift actuator, part number PS11769864, or a defective control board, part number PS12347924. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
Replaced the washer plate and now we are getting a grinding noise, thinking it is the gear box. Any thoughts, and if I'm correct this is not part of the 10 yr parts warranty.
For model number mvwx655dw0
Hello Andrew, Thank you for your inquiry. Researching the model number that you have provided it could be the gearcase, drive motor, drive pulley or shift actuator. Check the pulley for any visible damage, and you can check the other parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Good luck with your repair.
this machine is stuck on drain mode and it makes a loud screaching
noise, youtube said it was the gear assembly part {w10721967} so after replacing that and the actuator {w11481722} we still have a loud screaching noise and we can not reset the system. any idea what is wrong and should she just get a new washer. The washer is about 5 or 6 years old
Thank You.
For model number 110.25132.410
Hello Ronald, thank you for contacting us. For screeching noise, we would recommend checking the drive pulley, part number PS10057144, and the drive belt, part number PS11747978. Mostly, the machine will get stuck on a drain cycle because of a faulty control board, part number PS10057020. It manages the washer's functions such as filling, washing, draining, and spinning. Good luck with your repair!

Removing wash plate from wash tub
After removal of wash plate bolt. Apply Liquid Wrench oil to wash plate spline shaft. Give time for oil to penetrate. In the time it took to disassemble the motor and gearbox the oil had worked. Give the wash plate a good knock with a rubber mallet several times. After that I was able to wiggle off the wash plate by hand without breaking anything. Be sure to pull straight up on the wash plate, any twisting or torquing will bind the spline and the wash plate wont move. The PartSelect YouTube video was perfect for the other parts of the repair.
