Temperature Sensor Specifications
This genuine OEM oven probe is also known as an oven temperature sensor or range probe. This part is manufactured for a range, stove, or oven to detect the temperature within the oven cavity. The probe allows the oven to maintain the set temperature by sensing the temperature and sending the information to the ovens motherboard. You may need to replace this part if oven is not heating or is heating unevenly. Be sure to disconnect power to oven before replacing, as it is an electrical part. Tools needed are 1/4 inch nut driver and needle nose pliers.

Oven temp runaway tempreture, oven light out, sensor was changed for temp drifting low
The light and sensor were straight forward and easy. The EOC was as well but there was one glitch. You have to also purchase the black panel overlay, you cannot use the old one. While the adhesive will still adhere, the keypad is different and REQUIRES the new cover. This would have been good to know when I ordered parts as I did not know until I got the three parts and had to reorder the overlay creating a weeks delay in it's repair.

slow to get to temperature
first the temperature sensor then the igniter. started to do the igniter by using common sense then I used YouTube which made it a lot faster.
the temperature sensor installs from the back of the stove, the igniter installs from thr front ie, the drawer and inside oven.

F10 Code/ Oven Temperature not working
Removed back panels and removed temperature sensor, which was extremely easy, and replaced with new sensor. Only one hex screw holding it in place.
Replacing control board was surprisingly easy as well. Just take a photo of where all the wires connect (only two to unplug) and use a putty knife to remove the touch pad (doesn’t come with new control board). The touch pad was still sticky so it adhered to the new control board with no issues. Then plugged oven back in. Voilà! Oven worked again!

Oven would not heat or sometimes hold heat to set temp
I was able to find the most common reason for my oven's symptom by searching online. I searched for the part I needed but was not confident that I would get the correct part until I looked on partselect.com. After verifying the part number with my owners manual and looking at the video on their website, I decided to order. PartSelect shipped the part as expected, and I was able to install it in less than 30 minutes. The only tool needed for installation was a nut driver. My oven is now working like new.
Many thanks to PartSelect for their comprehensive website and fine service.

I had a F31 code which means oven isn't working
Called fridgidaire and they told me the a F31 code means my temperature sensor is not working.
So I ordered one online. I installed it and I still have F31 code and still won't work. So what now? Do I trust them to tell me another part?

Oven temp won’t go over 250 degrees. It also takes about 30mns to reach that temp.
For model number LGEF3045KFK
Hello DeLano, thank you for your question. The most common part that causes that issue is the oven sensor prob PartSelect Number: PS1528542. You can test it with a multi meter. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

My oven does not heat evenly. I had the oven probe (sku# 31690003) replaced but it did not fix the problem.
For model number wfe324lw0
Hi Rona, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that could cause this issue in your appliance. First I would say test your elements with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. They should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. The other part you should check would be your oven temperature sensor. That can also be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 1000 - 1100 ohms. If those three parts are fine however, then the issue may be in your control board. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Hi. Stovetop burners, clock and all displays working fine, but the oven is not coming to full temp. Last night it took over two hours to get to 227 degrees F. Have not seen either element glow orange, but by touch they are definitely heating up some, just not a lot. Have not been able to view bottom element, as one screw is rusted or stripped, and I haven’t been able to get it out yet. Are the heating elements a binary type thing? Are they ever “partially working,” or is it a case of: if they are heating at all, the issue is probably something else? Is it possible that this issue could be caused by a bad temperature sensor? If so, can that be tested without removing? Just trying to figure out what to check next, or what the issue likely is. Thanks so much for any help! Desirée

The oven does not start up, replaced element. Still does not start up. Would it be the temp probe ?
For model number 79094142312
Hello Frank, Thank you for the question. It is possible the probe is defective. You can test it with a multi meter. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. If both elements are not coming on, it is more then likley a defective Electronic Control Board PartSelect Number PS8689401. Hope this helps!

How do i know if it is an igniter or a sensor? My oven doesn't get hot igniter is orange.
For model number ffgf3023lwd
Hello Pat, thank you for your inquiry! We recommend replacing the Oven Bake Igniter if your oven isn't getting hot. If the element shortens out, is no longer glowing, or is only glowing red or orange, replacing the igniter is the solution. I hope this information helps!

My oven will not start after cleaning. The igniter comes on and after about 10 seconds it trips the GFCI. I suspect a thermal fuse, but I cannot find one in the parts list.
For model number LGGF3043KFV
Hi Read,
Thank you for your question. There is no fuse for this model. According to your owner's manual, where your oven is a self cleaning oven, it cleans itself with high temperatures, which eliminates soils in the oven or reduces them to ash that you may wipe away with a damp cloth. The heat from the oven during the self cleaning may have damaged a wire in the oven that may be causing the breaker to trip. You will need to check with a technician to verify what is causing this issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Surface burners and oven is not working but clock setting is working.
For model number FEF368GBA
Hello Martin, thank you for your question. The oven control board is what control the oven. If the oven isn't working at all (bake or broil) the electronic board should be replaced. The surface burners are controlled by the infinite switches. We would recommend testing the switches to determine if they are faulty. I hope this helps.
