I'm looking at your part # PS1526394 as a replacement for my fridge. Can you explain to me what the electrical component of this part actually controls? The part I have broke and I tried to mend it with glue. Now when I hook everything back up the machine just starts spitting out ice. If I disconnect this pieces wire it doesn't do that, but also wont dispense any ice.
