No water from dispenser, just a trickle
Troubleshooting was the most difficult job, but Parts Select helped with good info and videos. The water filter pushes down on a small plunger that allows the water to flow. If the water filter is bad or clogged up and needs replacement this plunger will not allow the water flow. I tried using the water filter bypass plug but this did not solve the problem either. The plunger was defective or worn out. I ordered the filter & tube assembly from parts select, and followed the simple instructions to change it out. Turn off the water supply first and put some towels down because they’ll be a little spillage out of the tubes. Unscrew both of the tubes with a crescent wrench. Remove the two screws on the filter assembly inside the refrigerator, and pull it forward to take it out -the tubes will follow. Insert the new assembly, tubes first thru the hole inside the back of the refrigerator. Reconnect the tubes and remount the filter assembly inside. Stuff putty back inside the hole with the tubes and reattach the metal cover. This is an easy repair. I am an old lady, so the hardest part was pulling the refrigerator out to get behind it!

No water at dispenser. I’ve replaced the filter and water control valve assembly. I bypassed the entire filter assembly and now have adequate water. Is there something other than this filter head and hoses that could be the problem? Not sure if another issue is related. But the ice maker makes cubes. But after they set in collection tray, they freeze together.

Hi Ray, thank you for your query. We would recommend testing the microswitch actuator to see if it is faulty. The micro switch controls the on and off function of the ice and water dispenser of your refrigerator. If this is not the issue, then you may need to check the defrost thermostat, part number PS1017716, to fix the issue. We hope this helps!

I asked a question earlier and you answered back. After reviewing, I'm afraid I did not ex[plain better my problem. First of all, I have ordered two parts from you that are unrelated. I want to thank you for the prompt reply, as well as the instruction for fixing the problems. The current problem is the ice cubes, once delivered to the compartment are free and not stuck together, It makes cubes frequently, as needed also. The problem begins later. After the cubes are stored in compartement, I find them frozen into a large pile in the tray later, It seems there is water draining into the compartement later, then freezing. They look like about one inch of water accummilates in the bottom of the tray, freexing everything together. As more cubes are made, they seem to get sprayed with water and frozen as well. I hope this better explains the problems I'm currently having. Any suggestions on replacement parts would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Ray Duncan

Hello Ray, thank you for you writing. It is most likely a defective waster inlet valve PS16226572 that is causing the drip of water in your cubes. We also have a video for your view for installation information. We hope to hear from you soon.
