This coupler, also known as a hose connector, is made of white plastic and is about one inch in height, and just over one inch in length. Replacing the coupler is a fairly easy repair. The hardest part of the repair is accessing the spray arm and filter to remove them, in order to replace the coupler. In order to complete this repair, you will need a flat head screwdriver and a 4-inch nut driver.

The dishwasher coupler, is it a necessity?
Hi Raymond,
Thank you for the question. The coupler connects the fine filter to the spray arm base.Without the coupler the parts will not stay together and can cause other issues, such as the dishes not coming clean and the filter and spray arm not staying in place.
Hope this helps!

My dishwasher is not draining properly please advise
For model number GSD4060N10SS
Hello Joseph, thank you for your question. There are a few different parts you will have to check to isolate the problem. They are the Drain Solenoid and Bracket Assembly Part Number: WD21X10268,
Inlet Sump Part Number: WD18X10039 and Pump Filter Coupler Part Number: WD01X10342. Also check the drain hose and other hoses under the unit for clogs. I hope this helps!

Shipping was horrible
Part was as advertised. I ordered it with two other parts all shipped from different locations using various methods (Fedex, USPS) and sometimes a mixture of both, which was new to me. Despite paying an additional $10 (on $50 in parts) it still took two weeks to get all the parts...I could have easily spent a few extra dollars on another site and gotten the parts much quicker
